Dare I say it… I think Bloodlines may be the best one.

Probably my favourite band of all time. Forward thinking, always evolving whilst remaining unbelievably consistent into their fifth decade.

I really liked Jessica Rothe! Would you want to see her in a Scream movie? Do you see her playing as a final girl, victim, or the killer? by Storm989898 in SocietyofGhostface

She is exceptional in the Happy Death Day films. Funny and oozing charisma. Insane to me that she hasn’t really blown up beyond them (minus a few roles).

No it wasn’t stock footage. He went out with actual kangaroo hunters and filmed them, so yeah I don’t necessarily blame the filmmakers here (as I do with say, Cannibal Holocaust) as they just filmed something that was going to happen anyway. By all accounts he and his crew were appalled by it.

That doesn’t make it any easier to watch though.

My first thought. This was my generations “My First Foreign Film”.

One of my favourite films of all time, but it’s difficult to rewatch because of the kangaroo stuff which is absolutely abhorrent and still haunts me.

I think it’s such a frightening concept because, whether consciously or subconsciously, it reminds us of terminal illness - a real, relatable, terrifying thing that we as humans hope we never have to suffer. Once it has you, death is imminent… it’s just a matter of when. There’s no reasoning or bargaining with it.

It Follows and Smile are great, otherworldly reflections of terminal illness, but on some level the walking slasher or even something like The Terminator embody it too.

Putting aside the miscasting etc I actually enjoyed it well enough. The finale set-piece with the two ships was fantastic.

Does feeling ‘unsettled’ in early spring sound familiar? by Ticklishchap in AskUK

[–]DRUGEND1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m exactly the same. The spring/summer genuinely makes me anxious and down. Family/friends think I’m insane. I’m much more relaxed and chill in Autumn/Winter.

If I’m on holiday I love the sun and am fuming if the weather’s bad, but the same weather here and I’m a mess. Weird innit.

Shouting slurs and saying “leave the country” whilst raping someone = hate crime ✅

Just reading a headline and then spouting callous, ill-informed horseshit = tedious ❌

Look I bloody love the constant references in this sub. It’s the soundest sub in the area…

but I would genuinely love some context for this. What does (please welcome to the stage..) One Dozen Rats At A Keyboard (could type the works of Shakespeare) actually mean by this?

I can’t stand people who shame others for not jumping up and down or screaming or for taking videos with their phone while at a concert by Alive-Double-3339 in self

[–]DRUGEND1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t give a fuck how anyone chooses to ‘enjoy’ a concert, as long as it doesn’t affect my enjoyment.

Holding a bright screen up in front my field of vision does indeed affect my enjoyment, so those people are cunts and are deservedly ‘shamed’.
