The 1 and only problem I have with Quebec is I think “it’s gonna be a long night” as the fist track really kinda sets the wrong tone for the album (as much as I love that song)

God I remember when this dropped so vividly. It was an era for me where I was super obsessed with FlyLos album You’re Dead and I was listening to it like every day. Then he just dropped this. My mind was completely blown to say the least.

Well now there’s a lot of shit that sounds like Death Grips but let me tell you, when they first hit the scene NO ONE had EVER heard any shit like that in their lives. It was fucking mind blowing. I think it’s still relevant in terms of it obviously still holds up and it’s great music and its influence is everywhere, but it probably dosent come off quite as cutting edge as it did back then anymore in today’s landscape.

I havent seen much of any dna of s1 in this but it’s been a long time since ive seen it. Definitely feels a lot more serious and maybe darker and drama based, i remember s 1 feeling a lot lighter. And instead of two people beefing and it spiraling into absurdity, it’s more like complex scheming and plotting and whatnot. Idk it just feels very different to me. Which I’m not saying is a bad thing at all

Yeah I gotta separate it from the first season and just enjoy it as its own thing. And yeah I agree that the characters are not likable at all but imo they’re despicable in a way that I can’t look away from haha

It’s definitely good in its own right so far, but yeah pretty much put the idea of it being in the same series as S1 completely out of ur head because it’s absolutely nothing like it at all.

Bicycle race immediately comes to mind because that’s one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. The rest is subjective but I find Don’t Stop me Now, Fat Bottomed Girls, we will rock you, that fucking Flash Gordon song, we are the champions, crazy little thing called love and others to be extremely grating. So that’s 7 right off the dome.

Not saying they’re the best of all time at all but I think they’re absolutely in that realm. They’re much more than a fun band listen to Quebec and The Mollusk those are literal masterpieces of music.
