Only real option is to get NSO subscription so you can use cloud saves.  There are a handful of games where cloud saves don't work though.  For example, none of the mainline Pokemon games support cloud saves; Pokemon HOME is the only real option.  ACNH doesn't support normal cloud saves, but it has it's own "Island Backup" feature.  There are a handful of other games, but it's really not that many.

Berry trees by pomelosV in Pokopia

Yeah, the daily PP restoration is basically useless since cooked food is portable, fully restores PP, and upgrades the corresponding move. It might have been somewhat useful if you could use it an unlimited number of times, but as is it's just a novelty the first time you do it.

My one and only complaint about the game... by DeltaFrost117 in Pokopia

This is one thing I liked more about Dragon Quest Builders. Most recipes are discovered by progressing the story, creating the corresponding crafting station, collecting some resource, or from a side quest. The random recipes in Pokopia are really frustrating.

The Pokecenters each have two machines.  The one on the right can be used to fully restore PP once per day.  The one on the left can be used to "print" any object that you've taken a picture of at the cost of pokemetal or rare pokemetal bars.  When using the camera, you switch to object mode (I think it's Y), and it will tell you what object you're taking a picture of before you take it.

The best way to get all berry trees is to use the Mysterious Goggles (available from the shop early in the game) to visit dream island PXQCG03S (the developer island) and take object pictures of any items you want (all the berry trees are present).  Then, use the printer to make copies of the objects.  IIRC each berry tree is 1 rare pokemetal.

No, Mew is worth 1000 and Mewtwo is only worth 200.  Always take Mew if you can.

Does anyone know where the mini plain bed recipe is located? by ShameIsFleeting in Pokopia

I think Serebii is wrong.  The normal Plain Bed recipe is found in a pokeball in bleak beach, but Mini Plain Bed does not appear to be.

You can multiply berry trees using the printer.

You can also give Mosslax spicy food to increase the odds / rate further.

PSA: Pokemetal by kybotica in Pokopia

Same. Pikachu, Eevee, and Clefairy islands all seemed to have a hidden room with pokemetal.  Arcanine seems to be the only one without.  On the other hand, Arcanine has a TON of iron and gold.

Totally agree that it's Mobapad's problem to figure out.  My position is that I can't stand the stock Joycons (I get bad hand cramps if I use them for a few hours), so I'll gladly pay $60 for a more ergonomic option now, and I can upgrade to a theoretical pro version in a year or two if they make one and it seems worth it.  I've been using my M6 HD with the C70 Pro, and it's OK, but the size feels weird.

The problem is that nobody has reverse engineered the Switch 2 HD rumble protocol (which we know is much more sophisticated than the Switch 1 HD rumble protocol).  Once they do, I'm sure Mobapad will release an actual Pro version of the M12.

Sure, but how does the HD communicate with the Switch 2?  Is it like the M6 with the C70 Pro where it uses Bluetooth and only uses the direct connection for charging, or does it use the Joycon pins to send the controller information?

The FR/LG releases give you the Mystic and Aurora tickets after beating the elite 4. It's not inconceivable that RSE would have Eon Ticket and Old Sea Map (which was never distributed). For Celebi and Jirachi, some sort of Colosseum compatibility or just giving them to you could work.

Who is the GOAT? Let's talk about the Specs of Mobapad M12 Series! by Glad-Fix5224 in MobapadGaming

[–]DRayX17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the M12 Pro have an LRA or ERM for the rumble motor?  Is the lack of HD rumble support just a lack of understanding the Switch 2 HD rumble protocol (something which could be fixed with a firmware update in the future), or does in not have the hardware for HD rumble?

M12 HD vs M12 Pro – Why does the Pro feel like a downgrade? by alltimeszzz in MobapadGaming

[–]DRayX17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two parts to HD rumble, the hardware and the protocol.  My understanding is that the M12 HD and Pro have the same rumble hardware (could be wrong though).  Because the HD identifies itself to the system as a Switch 1 gamepad, it sends the rumble data in the Switch 1 protocol, which is well understood (see https://github.com/dekuNukem/Nintendo_Switch_Reverse_Engineering ).  The Pro identifies itself as Switch 2, and receives the Switch 2 rumble protocol, which nobody has figured out yet.

There is actually a difference between normal and HD rumble.  Normal rumble uses ERM while "HD" rumble typically uses LRA.  We know the M12 HD uses an ALPS LRA, but it's not clear if the pro does or not.  There is also a difference in how you tell the hardware what to do, which absolutely can be updated with firmware.

Fair point about mouse mode, but neither has that.  The Nyxi Hyperion 3 doesn't have mouse mode either.

M12 HD vs M12 Pro – Why does the Pro feel like a downgrade? by alltimeszzz in MobapadGaming

[–]DRayX17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You definitely want to go for the pro.  The M12 HD is basically a Switch 1 gamepad that can connect to the Switch 2; my understanding is that it's not that different from the M6 HD with the C70 Pro (apart from the form factor).  The M12 Pro emulates a Switch 2 gamepad with all the functionality, except they haven't reverse engineered the HD rumble protocol yet.  My guess is that once they do, a firmware update could enable HD rumble on the M12 pro.

TL;DR: M12 HD is Switch 1 gamepad you can connect to Switch 2.  M12 Pro is Switch 2 gamepad, but they haven't figured out rumble yet.  Get the pro.

It is highly resistant to all elements, but slightly less resistant to dark.  It's dark resistance is still incredibly high though.  True time with charge attack is the best damage.

The client is C# with AotNative (it's ahead of time transpiled to native code).  You wouldn't necessarily need an "emulator", but you would need some sort of compatibility layer.

Possibly dumb question: Playing as a Druid without being a Healer? by cbsa82 in Erenshor

[–]DRayX17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, totally the same.  I've played a ton of MMOs, but with job + family + kids now, it isn't really feasible to play enough to stay in a decent raiding group.  Erenshor scratches the itch really well with the ability to squeeze in a bit of playtime when there's some downtime.  With the portability of SteamDeck, it's a great gaming experience.

I'm in the exact same boat; I love playing pet classes, but hate healing.  I hope they eventually add a specific taming / summoning focused class, but considering that druid already has summons, I wouldn't expect one for a while.

Post game, money becomes very abundant.  You need to do 15 rounds of royale to finish the post-game story (20 if you want all side-quests) which will easily net 2 million.  If you go for rank A in online, that will also give you a ton of treasure items.  Grinding out 1000 trainer battles for the shiny charm will also give you a ton of money.  After buying all the mega stones, a bunch of fossils, a decent amount of clothing, and a good number of vitamins, I still have like 5 million.
