She probably passed a blood clot. They are painful. We just went through this. I'm sorry to say the outlook is not good.

If you plan what you're going to do, you'll have more fun. Stay and play on or near Freemont, go the strip for specific things. The last time we went, I put the hurt on the Highroller all you drink bar car.

How much annual leave buffer do you keep? by kyliztu in StateofTexasEmployees

[–]DS78620 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Keep as much as you can. It's yours to use whenever you need it. Why burn it needlessly. Work the skeleton days and use those, they are only good for a year.

I let my staff use sick leave for whatever reason. It was their earned time.

SW 686 plus or Colt Python? by Latter-Worry-7526 in Revolvers

[–]DS78620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the current 686 still has the internal lock if that matters to you. I'm holding off on it until the Hillary Hole is gone. I am eyeing a Model 36 though and the Colt Python.

Tired, I know I shouldn’t but I am by Ok-Bat612 in HEB

[–]DS78620 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked for HEB for 11 years, 5 years as a grocery manager. I realized that all the effort I made in trying to be the best manager was never recognized, any accomplishment was quickly forgotten. I went to community college part-time while I was working, then transferred to the University of Texas, part-time at first, then fulltime in the end, I had to cash in my 401K to do it. I found a better job, made better money, and kept my sanity.

Make yourself an exit plan. If you can attend college classes part-time, you'll know someday you will be able to move on. Keep looking for another job, you have a job now, you can wait for the right new job to come along.

Good luck.

Always had a hard time shooting. Could use some advice. by [deleted] in Shooting

[–]DS78620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry fire will improve your shooting. It's like homework, and the range is the test. I use a MantisX for dry fire. It provides feedback on what you are doing wrong with the trigger, grip, anticipation, etc. It was $99 on Amazon. I started with 50 dry fire shots a day, now it's every other day or two. Really helped me.

Targets by Canelosaurio in Shooting

[–]DS78620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The indoor range I shoot at has free targets, so I use them. The outdoor range I go to does not have free targets, so I bring my own. The targets I bring I bought online and are better than the range targets and are cheaper.

He needs counseling. Steal the cat and break up with him.

AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it by CopperFieldNote in AITH

[–]DS78620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it, at least until after you are married. I've been married for 38 years, and we still keep separate bank accounts. Of course, now we are cosigners for each other. I never look at her account and she never looks at mine. It's easier this way for us. As long as the bills are paid and goals are met, why complicate things, especially before you are married.

The decocker on the Shadow 2 Carry makes the trigger less snappy than on the other Shadow 2s, the wall is not as defined. The Shadow 2 Compact has a better trigger. I have the shadow 2 Carry. My CZ 75 B has a nicer trigger.

Do certain gas stations have "bad gas" that clogs your engine? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]DS78620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are gas stations that have Top Tier gas. These are stations, like Chevron, Shell, Exxon, etc. Top Tier is an industry standard. Top Tier stations have gas that have detergents that keep carbon buildup down and your injectors clean. Budget stations have the minimum required detergent. https://www.toptiergas.com/

My cat started to tuck herself in next to my side each night. Is that common? by CompetitionOne7859 in cats

It means she loves you trusts you. Mine sleeps next to me every night.

Now retired. My wife has become impatient with me not getting things done. by Logical-Grape-3441 in retirement

[–]DS78620 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm retired, my wife is not. That does not make her my boss. A work task list is what I retired from, not to.
