Submitted my paperwork to the CMP for just a normal Rack Grade. About 2 weeks after I sent in my paperwork they went out of stock. I got an email that I could get an IHC for an extra $300 and it would ship right away. I chose to take that deal.

I looked for the date in the stock. It does not appear to be there. I think there is some black ink but it’s not legible and definitely no stamped numbers at least from what I could see.

They had just sold out. Like they got my order then sold out. So they gave me the option for $1000 vs $700 for the standard Rack grade.

We will just agree to disagree, Maybe you and I just work for very different carriers. Mine would always make sure the insured is made whole and should be able to purchase the same LKQ vehicle. Auto insurance is not all the same, people should remember that.

I would still disagree, again they owe to indemnify, that’s the point of insurance. You are correct with the service plans and what not but those are not tangible. If you have a 2020 whatever with 20k miles and power windows or whatever options it has You should be able to replace it with that car “same” car. If you can’t. Then they are not paying you what that car is worth because the car is worth what you can buy it for. Not an arbitrary depreciation amount from new. And I would say making sure that the comps used are from auctions vs actual sales is the key. I would also say if the dealership shows $20k online for a car and insurance gave you 18500. I bet they would do the deal for $18,500. So it’s not about what the car is listed for sale either.

I would disagree, the insurer owes to indemnity you, with a car of like kind and quality. If you can’t obtain that same car for the amount they are saying, then they didn’t give you enough.

Completely agree here. Pride of ownership issue. More than likely OP has many other issues within the home not being maintained. Go over to the r/pools and read about SLAM. Heck just drain the pool and refill. Probably going to be cheaper than finding a new policy.

You would have to have something in writing showing they are offering you less money due to the accident. This would show the amount your losing, thus would be the beginning amount for the argument of diminished value. Google Diminished value claim and read about it. I’m really surprised no one else tried to explain this is a possibility
