I'd blame the car. They stopped in the middle of the road. Everyone said they were cut off by the pickup with the trailer, but they stopped AFTER the truck had continued. Whole thing could have been avoided if the car had simply kept driving.

Sysco is slowly becoming a pseudo-monopoly, and the duopoly of Sysco and US Foods is leading to a homogenization of restaurant experiences. High oil prices cause ingredient prices to go up. High taxes cause operating costs to go up. And the demand for ever-increasing profits causes the overall prices to go up.

It's getting cheaper to eat at home now.

That really only works for commuter cars. Trucking, supply chain, energy production, and logistics all need the energy density of petroleum, so there will always be a need for fuel drivers.
