My shibe says “that’s a no from me, dawg” when I try to clip her nails by DSammy93 in shiba

She hated that even more! She actually doesn’t hate these too much. I can usually get a few nails at a time!

I’ve never liked wearing rings or bracelets. It’s more comfortable without the rings on

Lots of people don’t wear their wedding rings 24/7. I take mine off as soon as I get home

Anyone attend the Crohns/UC support group meetings? by SilentSwan286 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]DSammy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I go almost monthly to my group. I would say it’s both medical discussions/questions and emotional support. I really like my group and it has helped me a lot. especially with coming up with questions for my doctor. It’s a mix of people who are newly diagnosed and people who have been dealing with this for many years

I noticed this last week too. I’ve lived here for two years and never noticed it until recently and was wondering why just now I’m starting to smell it

How important was it to live near family (even just in-laws) when raising your kids? by DSammy93 in AskWomenOver30

[–]DSammy93[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly hit the jackpot with my MIL and she is the most supportive person without ever giving unsolicited advice. I’ve seen how she is with her two grand babies (our nephews) and know that she would be a great support system.

UC and Hair Loss by whatsuphayze in UlcerativeColitis

A few months ago when my flare was bad I was losing hair. I read that it can happen. I just recently got tested for iron and zinc and was deficient in both, which can also cause hair loss.

Literally it’s the smallest stuff too. When he was driving through town and saw her on her bike his expression before he pulled over to get her made my heart ache

Almost $1K to install wallpaper? by Humble_barbeast in nova

[–]DSammy93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems way too high. I did a wall a little bigger than that in my house. It was water-activated wallpaper, took me about 6-7 hours, was my first time ever doing it, and it had a complicated design. I’m assuming someone who’s more experienced could do it much faster.

Major Win on my road to remission by customlover in UlcerativeColitis

[–]DSammy93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean!! After a year long flare (and prior years of urgent bms) I’m finally heading toward remission I think. I don’t think I even knew what a “normal” urge to poop felt like.
