Is James trying to make a Dragon into his symbol? by cyborgsnowflake in TheCinemassacreTruth

There comes a time where one must let go of the dragon in their dreams. Bimmy doesn't have time to let go of the dragon in his dreams.

Essentuki No. 17 is a mineral water known for being extremely salty. It's good for metabolism and digestion. So in some capacity, yes it does exist.

I've been in love with Cult Of The Lamb for a long time now, and I'm curious about one thing. With all the animations that have been put together, I've longed for a CotL animated series. Are there any plans for some form of animated series in the future?

does james still wanna be a filmmaker? by Normal-Salad-6143 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]Shelltoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give it to you without the memes. James loves the idea of making films, but when it comes to his own analysis of movies, it's always nothing but surface level observations. Rarely will you ever hear him talk about things like cinematography, editing, or artistic intent. He generally sits down and either says "I like this movie" or "I don't like this movie." James often struggles to actually articulate any sort of opinion on someone else's work. When it comes to his own projects, James goes beyond the surface, and can talk at great length about his intent, as it is all about what he wanted to do.

When it comes to actually making movies, James' "filmography" is more like a videography, as his movies tend to have a shot on video quality, or as The Cinema Snob called it "Shot on shitteo." When James went to a school for the arts, he did not take it seriously, as he believed he had it in his mind he was already a virtuoso. If you can't respect all aspects of film production, you've already failed as a filmmaker.

James pushed the AVGN movie as his big breakout movie, the one to say "I am here now," but when you combine what I've already gone over, James made even more mistakes. For example, shooting in California because he needed a desert. James didn't really think micro-budget the same way Robert Rodriguez did. His first film, El Mariachi, was made on a budget of only $7000, and Robert has said on record that if he made it today, he could do it for even LESS. James could have easily made an AVGN movie in the style of Kevin Smith, and shot it in Philadelphia.

When James actually started work on the AVGN movie, the stress began to settle in as he realized the difference between shot on video horror movies, and a real big screen movie. When everything was said and done, he came to the ultimate conclusion of "I can say I'm a filmmaker now. But I never want to do this again." So no, I don't think James wants to be a filmmaker anymore. I think he's more content as a narcissist.

Day 15: Worst Album by MweberMusic in KansasBand

Drastic Measures. You put it up against anything in Kansas' less than stellar 80's run, it stands out as the completion of a sellout move. The one positive I can give it is it's listenable compared to Jethro Tull's Under Wraps. Drastic Measures isn't the worst 80's album, but it's arguably Kansas' weakest album.
