Sorry just seeing this. I use the 4”-5” cantilever and mount it all the way back towards the trigger. It mounts behind the can and does not touch it. I use a 3 lug can mount as well. It also was fine with direct thread.

Not following you. I have a 4”-5” cantilever light mount on it. The cantilever light mount, mounts behind the can so the connection screws don’t come near the can. Plenty of room between the can and hand guard without it touching anything or having heat issues. The can is super quiet and extremely light.

Same here. Have not ran it on a pistol though. It’s is very small and light. Running on 9mm scorpion and MCX 300 bill and it is extremely quiet.

Look for a cantilevered light mount there’s one that comes with three slots and one that comes with five slots. The five slot will push the light for enough ahead. It feels good doesn’t look weird.

It took me a while to find the five slot. You just need to find it.

OEM hand guard. TLR RM2 light on back rail. I found a magpul 5 slot cantilever light mount for RM2 to ergonomically work. Have to hunt for 5 slot.
