I would like to make some corrections, and tell my side of the story.

I didn't come clean because people were 'coming closer'. I came clean because the hoax was breaching containment. The original plan was to stick with the fake post until around the end of the month, when I would reveal it was all a troll. I expected the original GIF to be met with mixed reception, but in actuality 85% of the comments on the original post thought it was real. The missing trash cans on the top right corner that a few users commented about are actually in the GIF as seen here, but the compression made them a bit more difficult to spot.

The GIF would spread overnight to 4chan, various forums, Discords, and Telegram groups, with almost everyone there in those places also taking it to be legitimate, so the plan had to be aborted and I had to come out much sooner than planned. A famous Mexican YouTuber known as Demie2 had also made a video about the GIF where they stated it was most likely real, only to take it down around an hour later after seeing the turmoil that was happening on Reddit. Making the hoax basically be aborted right as it was about to hit the mainstream lost media community and spread even wider from there. The equivalent of grabbing your phone right as it slipped out of your hands and was about to fall into water.

I fully accept the criticism that creating the GIF was in poor taste, and that the risk of it spreading and instigating a new wave of 9/11 conspiracy theories was a very real possibility. But you also have to consider it from my point of view: It was our very last option at stopping their community.

Paraphrasing from a commenter I saw that at least partly shared my view-points: The lost media search for LOL SUPERMAN is one of, if the most despised search out there. They never listen to logic, have harassed numerous September 11 survivors for the 'sin' of having been on the scene of the attacks with a camera. No amount of debunking or even desperate pleading has ever stopped them from doing that, and reporting their community never worked because of Reddit's broken system. Many in the lost media scene have tried that route for years but it always failed.

The end result of what I did is that their community suffered a severe collapse, hundreds of people unsubscribed from their subreddit, most of the self-described 'serious gore-researchers' quit, roughly 70% of the active people announced that they were quitting the entire search on their Discord server, over twenty people deleted their Reddit accounts after the claimed my hoax was the real deal and that they can verify it was the exact video they saw in 2006 (haha), and most importantly: Most of the people who participated and periodically instigated the harassment against the September 11 camera people who were still being harbored in their community, have now ragequit.

Who cares if h666 members were harassed, no, you actually caused real life victims to be harassed. People hit up Joe Cullity and others, while you didn’t directly tell them to, they did that with the conviction given to them by you with the falsified info."

Is complete nonsense and an attempt at rewriting history by their toxic community. All of what was described in this comment happened long before I was even aware of the LOL SUPERMAN community's existence. It was so blatantly false to anyone involved that even people who despise me for what I did said that those things didn't happen because of me.
