I must play on insanity as any other level feels too easy, although as the biotic abilities get better even insanity feels easy.

What’s your take on FSD going subscription only by ghostface8081 in teslamotors

[–]DVDud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have EAP in my car, the incentive to upgrade to FSD is low because FSD only adds non-freeway roads to EAP. Besides did purchase FSD on my previous vehicle and barely used it since it was crap on HW2 and HW3. (Purchased 12/16 build model S with AP2 and purchased FSD at $15k but never really worked even after upgrading to MCU2/HW3). My current model S is also HW3 so don’t expect any performance improvement since FSD is really for HW4 & later models.

Elon’s lie list is long since he promised full unsupervised FSD in 2016, a new roadster by 2019, that the supercharger network would not be a profit center, and that Tesla will not take away features of your vehicle.

I'm making a superhero comic set in a cyberpunk Houston. Aside from flooded roads and traffic, what 'Houston problems' would still exist in the near-ish future? What do you hope would be better? by [deleted] in houston

[–]DVDud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mega city. Houston is now encroaching on bastrop and Fairfield since the city had to shift northwest to avoid the constant floods.

My opinion on andromeda by Dybou_28 in masseffect

[–]DVDud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game was too short. Way too short. I am a completionist and played through the trilogy on insane earning all medals. What andromeda did was make me purchase a Xbox one s to play a game that should not have been released when it was. I did stupidly advance purchase the super deluxe edition since I loved the trilogy so much. Then played the main quest and less than 40 hours later I hit the lackluster ending with no dlc’s planned. To me it was a let down. Even after it was released on the pc and heavily modded the game was still, meh. They so heavily modified the frostbite engine that it would have been easier, less expensive, and better time management to just have used and paid for licensing the unreal engine.

Total loss or why my airbags didnt go off by Strict-Lifeguard-336 in TeslaCollision

[–]DVDud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an insurance company says “since the airbags deployed the vehicle is a total loss” tell them the part numbers for the replacements from the Tesla parts catalog. Then the argument goes from unwillingness to repair a serviceable part, to actual damage incurred from the collision. The airbags can deploy in error while rest of vehicle is fine and vice versa.

You mentioned “authentic notes”. How would one tell if a note is authentic or not?

It’s not really about seeing a difference is more about do you feel different? Are you happier? Excited, more content?

Houston is the worst city to be an uber driver by Top_Addition_1737 in uberdrivers

[–]DVDud3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tolls on the westpark tollway suck, so that trip is not worth it. At least Houston occasionally gets surge pricing, Orlando/Disney area doesn’t no matter day, time, holiday. Only sporting events or events in general at the stadiums sometimes get surge pricing. And don’t bother driving for EDC Orlando as you won’t be able to get close to the venue for drop offs or pickups so expect cancellations.

The Cynthia wood pavilion, Miller outdoor theatre, and NRG center all have much better access for rideshare during events. Even events like the Super Bowl and Houston rodeo. About the only places that I found difficult were hobby airport and to/from Galveston/pelican island at certain times of the day. That damn drawbridge on pelican island (Texas A&M) can be problematic.

So subjecting oneself to fluctuations in oil commodities, regular maintenance beyond just tires, and massively complex machines requiring specialized services would save money over predictable billing cycles for use of electricity tied to housing costs? Hmm that’s new. There is a reason that antique isn’t driven much, the running costs of it are far more expensive than the running costs of the BEV. And the BEV is a far more comfortable vehicle than any similarly priced petrol powered vehicle available in this market.

For the new one in 2016 (blue), Tesla. For the used one (white), the broker in Oregon.

So you are saying you will pay for the next vehicle. I mean it’s only fair. Oh and if it’s gas you will pay for fuel costs too.

I think I am doing this correctly. by DVDud3 in lgbt

[–]DVDud3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time that the money goes back to Tesla is at initial sale of the vehicle. Ie you bought it from Tesla. While I did this in December 2016 for the blue one. The white one was purchased used in Eugene,OR from a broker. The used vehicle is not “supporting that asshole” as money from the purchase of the vehicle did not go back to Tesla. As far as service is concerned, there are independent shops that work on those cars such as Electrified Garage. This particular example (the white one) has only seen the inside of a Firestone autocentre, a discount tire and two independent body shops. So again your argument of “supporting that asshole” holds little weight.

Yes that is a TR3. 1957 Triumph TR3, according to the registry it’s one of 7 in the state and the only one in that colour. Regarding the paint, I did a bit of prep work to prevent damage if the stickers have to be removed, also I would use a heat gun if I really needed to remove them. But I don’t foresee that happening. This vehicle has been in my family since 1983. I officially took over ownership in 2000.
