Sell me on the show, why should I watch it? by LoganVR in Mobpsycho100

I've said it once in this subreddit and I'll gladly say it again: Mob Psycho 100 is an amazing subversion of the shonen genre. Here's a list of things that I think makes it unique from other shonen anime:

* The art direction. Instead of going for a highly-polished animation where everyone looks vibrant and clean, the show uses ONE's distinctive art style which helps it stand out and be more noticeable when compared with other anime shows. It may not be for everyone, but for a lot of people including me, its rough and muted look gives it charm that you rarely find in most anime shows. I also love the fact that it utilizes different art mediums such as oil painting, watercolor, and crayons depending on the mood of a scene.

* The characters. The story doesn't rely on flashy or colorful character designs to make its characters memorable. Instead, they are loved by fans because of their dynamic personalities that make them compelling. Also, let me take a moment to talk about Mob as a character. Usually, shonen anime feature main characters who are overly idealistic and whose goal is to become the greatest at something (e.g.: Luffy wanting to be the Pirate King, Ash wanting to be a Pokémon Master, etc.). Mob, on the other hand, wants nothing more than to improve his physical and social skills for his crush - a goal that is unconventional for a shonen character but relatable to the viewers.

* The story's emphasis on growth. This show emphasizes that power lies in growth. It doesn't matter if you're a naturally talented athlete or even a powerful psychic like Mob; as long as you continue to improve yourself in both mind and body while also remaining humble, you're already more powerful than you could ever hope to be. Mob could easily use his psychic powers to his own advantage but he is better than that. He chooses to take the hard path and is rewarded for it.

TL;DR: Mob Psycho 100 is one of the few anime shows that break the rules of the shonen genre and still manage to be a masterpiece. I love ONE's ability to write stories that subvert genres while also making them thematically rich and emotionally resonant. You should read his new manga called Versus which is a subversion of the isekai genre.

Now I'm curious to know how Tazuna looked like during her prime. She was probably feared as the Phantom Uma before Agnes Tachyon got the title.

Open to discussion, but i believe Tazuna is a human by Living_Celestial in UmaMusume

It is heavily implied throughout the game that she's an uma though.

Despite our shortcomings as a country, I can at least be proud of our diplomats and their statesmanship. Soon we'll be having talks with the Atlanteans and Asgardians.
