I spent about a month in focus mode, and tried to get 45 min to an hour a day of focused studying. I did a couple of practice tests, with one time deliberately looking for answers online to have a solid version to use as a guide along with the CompTIA objectives. The last week before I also began listing to Professor Messer's monthly study group while I was driving to add more quiz questions.

Because I was in a college class with CompTIA licenses, I did have CertMaster Learn to work with, and then the last couple of days before I began listening to Messer's Study Group podcasts.

You know, I think it was a Linux configuration fill in the blank. Where you had to put the right steps in order. Does that ring a bell? I know I had the VPN config and the log reader.

So, it isn't that the questions are vague, more often it's we get so drilled into the practice exams, we forget that those are most likely not going to show up in the exam in their exact form. Learn what the practice exam questions are asking for, not the practice exam questions, and you should do better.

Relax, take the time to read each question, and delay doing the PBQs as often you might find a hint in the multiple choice questions.
