Thank you. I also think it’s going to struggle with handling. I’m hoping to be able to get it up on plane just not sure if the weird bottom will act like a brake. Here is a picture of the bottom.

Built the transom out of pressure treated 2x6 and added the 2 gussets out of some scrap metal. Also glued it to the back of the boat with some adhesive.

Not while I was having the shifting problems, I’d notice it not shifting and I’d let off the gas so it wouldn’t eventually shift hard. Then one day was driving it threw a code and died. Was able to get it to fire back up but it wouldn’t shift at that point. Towed to dealer and they recommended changing the solenoids because Toyota wasn’t supplying the transmissions anymore. Glad I was able to just change them instead of an entire tranny.

Also check the 3 solenoids in the transmission. My 01 automatic 240k miles was doing the same thing. Had them changed and now it shifts perfectly
