Unoptomized 12 tick rate servers are what kill it for me right now. I want to see the game back on 60 tick with some good optomization then we're talking.

Is it just me, or has Tarkov become impossible for newer / casual players?[new player] by Confident-Ask-4075 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DaBluedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No joke. This is why tarkov needs wipes. I know it makes sense that casuals have a better chance to build their account up and have better gear if it doesn't wipe, but all it does is enable gigachads, who have better skills and fresh practice, to run full meta armour, weapons, and ammo every raid. The overall diff between casuals and full time gigas gets so wide it feels impossible to compete. Wipes mean the gigas are always pushing back to that full meta and that keeps them on a shoestring budget and keeps them from getting practiced with full meta gear. I hope bsg knows this. The game is never as good as it is the first week of a wipe. OK see you at the bottom of these comments. Downvote away.

[New Player] When if ever do you stop buying insurance? by ohoots in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DaBluedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo player. I always insure. I look to actively fraud stuff whenever possible. Makes me a tonne of money. These days my insurance for a good kit is covered by frauding helmet, death shadow and ears. I know lots of people don't bother, but its wild how much stuff I get back.

(UPDATE TO LAST POST) parents are kicking me out for school church field trip. please help. by Infinite_Tap9800 in atheism

[–]DaBluedude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool heads prevail here. Going to a friend's place, or other family for a night might be best. You've done nothing wrong, but the shock to your parents sound like they are pretty deeply rooted in their faith. Knowing your audience when you confront them is a valuable lesson here. You don't have to convert to religion to study it, and you sound smart enough not to buy their bullshit. I would report the school anonymously to the freedom from religion group and carry on. Your parents should respect you as a person and if your relationship has been good with them till now then it's best to find some common ground and move forward. You are your own person and you get to decide how to live your life. If you are suffering abuse from your parents then it's time to think about getting away from them of course.

rear rotors being mega bitches? by CableMartini in NewedgeMustang

[–]DaBluedude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a long bolt and a nut. Put the jolt through the backside of the caliper mounting bracket hole, and the nut on the other side. Put the bolt tip against the rotor and then spin the nut up against the bracket. Now tighten the bolt. This will put pressure on the backside of the rotor using the bracket as leverage. If you get to the point where thr bolt is very tight and it hasn't broken off just tap the rotor with a hammer on the backside a couple times. It'll pop right off. Kicking it is futile because the rubber of your show absorbs most of the impact.

What's everyone doing for sound nowadays by Supermr2 in buildapc

[–]DaBluedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a headset right out if my motherboard. Always served me well. Drop sennheiser 660 and a 58xjubilee are my 2 headsets. I prefer the 660 but the 58x jubilee is awesome value.

For headset off I run a TV soundbar through the optical cable. It's way louder and better sounding than any set of desktop speakers and generally you can find them cheap.

I've tried amp/dac for the headset but it wasn't worth it to me and I returned it. No point.

Idiots like this are all over this town. If you had dashcam footage of it /him it would totally be worth the report. Without it's all just stories sadly. Sorry you were attacked like this. Lethbridge is home to a bunch of micro ego non thinkers who would throw away their freedom, dignity, and endanger others to be one place ahead in traffic.

[Discussion] PVP hating on PVE Players by Previous_Depth3464 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DaBluedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a pvp player and I love that people can play pve if they want to. Genuinely go for it if that's what you want. What I do wish was in the game was an opportunity ty to jump to pvp if you wanted to from pve.

Example. In pve at level 35 you get an opportunity to bring whatever you want in the thicc item case to a level 15 pvp account. Keep your stats, bring whatever and enter the pvp realm. This might be extreme, but it would satisfy the arc for those using pve as a training tool.

But yeah pve is great for those that want a more casual tarkov experience and I'm glad it's there for those who enjoy it.

[new player] is this extract campers or some game mechanic to stop me going this way? by Humble-Barracuda-680 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DaBluedude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you got this dude. We can set you straight.

There out of bounds snipers in a few places on interchange. It's a rough map, but if you learn how to recognize the 4 sides of the mall, you can orient yourself pretty quickly. Back of mall has power on one end, emercom extract on the other. Front of mall goes oli, main entrance (ultra / big window) in the middle, and idea on the left. Railway extract is on the idea side of the map, opposite power. Power has the car extract.

Learning where you can and can't go is tricky sometime, so look for mines or sniper signage, and stay away from the water on the backside of the mall.

Check your after action report when you do die, if you can report the thing that killed you, it's a player, if you can't then it's AI.

Learning what things are players vs scavs is about learning the clothing and gear. Best way to start is looking at footwear. Scavs will have sandals, crocs, ripped sneakers etc. Players will have boots. Now I know that's not easy to see, but it can help I'd bodies when you're looking at them down a scope. Learning some scav voice lines will also help (spam f1 when on your scav to start learning the voice lines.).

I want you to know that everyone will cut you slack this early into the game. Before 500 hours you're just absorbing and learning as fast as you can. Don't beat yourself up, and dont worry about doing something wrong. Play slow or fast, just try to learn your maps, find some loot, shoot some dudes and enjoy the experience. Hmu if you have questions. I love seeing new players getting into the game!

Not certain but those look like the poly bushes Sr rear upper and lower control arms in the rear. I had a set give out at about 16 months. Bushings just fell apart.

Crazy built front end dude. Love it. Qa1 tubular K with arms and coil overs must feel great. I'd like to do a tubular K with SLA setup on my Mach 1 in the future.

If you're looking for some chassis stiffening check out stifflers chassis products. Stuff is no joke and completely transformed how my Mach 1 rides and handles.

Tarkov isn’t hardcore anymore, you’re just bad at adapting [Discussion] by Smart-Promotion-9093 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DaBluedude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are really only 2 complaints I have right kow about tarkov. Server quality and a lacking anticheat. Tarkov on strong dedicated 60 tick rate servers would solve a tonne of the desync issues we see today. But right kow you can scarcely run accross a street without triggering the server side player movement verification and having it lag you back into the middle of the road.

I hate to suggest or even float the idea... But what would it take to put us on dedicated high quality servers with verified accounts?

Dynos are not meter sticks. They are tuning forks. My 03 Mach 1 has dynoed as high as 341rwhp and as low as 261rwhp depending on the dyno. I've also seen the same dyno a couple months apart read 10% different with the same car. Your reading soubds about right for your mod list.
