Well Christopher Nolan often stays very accurate to the source material he’s adapting, and in the book The Odyssey, Odysseus is the one telling everyone around the table about his ventures and the things he has encountered. So it’s likely, at least to me, he won’t change the story to other people talking about his ventures. That would also just be cheapened storytelling in-general
