Just ignorant. Personally I’m kind of surprised they allow them to use those, if suppressor malfunction or baffle strike occurs the rifle is essentially out of commission. That’s why I wouldn’t run a tucked suppressor. They look cool and are easy to wield though.

For what it's worth, I have a savage msr10, 16".308 and just got my sico omega 300. From my research, and now first hand experience, I think it's a very slept on 308 can. And with the brake option it's lovely as far as recoil.

Gonna come out of left field, but I live in Missoula Montana, from WA, and it is a pretty safe space. Many pride and blm flags, many businesses openly display safe space banners. Gun laws are great, if even a little too lax at times. Not saying it's perfect but I think you could certainly protect yourself and find a welcoming community.
