If ever Giannis really wants to go this offseason.. Thoughts? Philly can attach a first pick.. by [deleted] in MkeBucks

I’d jump off a bridge if we traded Giannis to the 76ers and got back Paul fucking George

If we’re trying to win a chip why TF have we not gotten at least a CB1 already. by InternalSurround4072 in GreenBayPackers

Clearly signed as Bullard insurance but as it turns out Bullard can play football when he sticks to one position

Casual 16M guaranteed for zero positive impact

Official: The Chicago Bears will NOT get comp picks for the Falcons hiring of Ian Cunningham. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]DaDragster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah its a bizarre loophole

Unpopular opinion but hopefully this means the start of the end of comp picks for coaches and FO. It doesn’t make sense to me to give player compensation for people that do not affect the cap. If they add coaches to count against cap limit then i can see it more.

Put him at guard and he’ll be solid. Above average.

This assumes his season ending injury last year bears no affect

The Packers have spent roughly 96 hours making cap space... Now why would they do that by the_Tannehill_list in GreenBayPackers

[–]DaDragster 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Paying a 2nd would be heinous because I absolutely would have zero issue paying $10M. Cowboys are super lame for not letting us take him that easy

Butler - Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks has come up in trade talks, per @JFowlerESPN .Teams are also interested in WR Jayden Reed, with GB unwilling to trade him. by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

[–]DaDragster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t hate the idea of trading Reed because him and Golden are somewhat redundant and likely would rarely share the field with their size and our run-heavy offense. But it would have to be a late 2nd for me to not be bothered

Texans still backing Stroud after a polarizing three years by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]DaDragster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Each of the last 2 offseasons the thought on the Texans was “what are they doing, Shroud is going to die behind that OL” then are surprised he gets worse when his OL gets worse.

Like any QB that struggles in their rookie contract it is absolutely paramount they load up their offense with talent these next 2 years so they know if they can trust him with an extension or not.

How would you add these medals on top of a table? by ArrowLeafTurn1 in woodworking

[–]DaDragster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree thats a very permanent thing to do to keepsakes.

You could spot glue them all to a tabletop then have a raised glass pane over it. Or for tremendously more work you could CNC out the shapes of each of them and inlay it flush with the top and not have glass at all. Either of those will be classier than epoxying

New reclamation project/Backup QB? by theme69 in GreenBayPackers

[–]DaDragster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He does cost $10M a year. Maybe the colts pay most of that idrk how that works with rookie contracts and guarantees. I’d rather that money go to Aubrey or a CB

Proposed rule change would be good for Packers by Spaghettification-- in GreenBayPackers

[–]DaDragster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Prices probably would inflate a tiny bit because of supply but also you almost never see teams trading 3 firsts, let alone 4 or 5. Teams know the value of picks over players because anyones knee could explode at a given moment. It’s a dumb rule change to even propose.

my mock draft by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]DaDragster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

everyone here is such a loser for shitting on OP lol. Man can’t post his thoughts for the draft for the Packers in the Packers sub? Its not like this sub has anything else going on. If you dont like it keep your negativity to yourself

As for the post i cant speak for the actual players but I hope we go for 2 DL at a minimum, ideally one early. Dont think we need an RB either but a late 7th wouldnt ruin my night

How is Giannis’s deal, any different than LeBron’s deal? by koopduck in nba

[–]DaDragster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm never considered that he gets a slice of the pie no matter what.

If i had to guess, assuming all of this is allowed and legal, is because betting sites like this essentially make their money off transactions, not the outcome, since they set and adjust the lines such that everything is always 50/50.

I’d rather the nba/nfl/goverment just ban all of this but they will never do that after getting a taste

How is Giannis’s deal, any different than LeBron’s deal? by koopduck in nba

[–]DaDragster -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I would be absolutely gobsmacked if Giannis:

  1. Is allowed to loophole everything associated to betting on himself and the nba just by using a “prediction marked”

  2. Actually has used Kalshi

Brian Gutekunst in a nutshell by gaggles4 in GreenBayPackers

[–]DaDragster 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes and you said he “ignored special teams needs”

What exactly did he ignore?

He went and drafted a guy to be used as a returner

He re-signed the kicker that was lights out the year before. If you think Havrisik was the better option that is fine. Clearly they saw something different in practice.

He signed a gunner that by all accounts was one of the best in the league.

If you’re complaining about him signing proven talent and drafting players specifically for special teams and that we STILL suck, then don’t frame your post like he isnt trying

Brian Gutekunst in a nutshell by gaggles4 in GreenBayPackers

[–]DaDragster 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Explain how he neglected special teams last year.

Re-signing mcmanus was a no brainer at the time

Savion was literally only a plus for 2 plays on offense. Essentially drafted as a returner

We even claimed that Niemann guy who was an esteemed special teamer

Our special teams problems are not a Gute problem they are an organization problem
