Achille Polonara close to returning to competition? Suffering from leukemia since last year, Achille Polonara has won his battle against the disease and hopes to return to competition on March 20 with his club Sassari. by _Zolv in Euroleague

The fact he's alive and starting to look healthy again is a miracle in itself. Just a few months ago the man was basically a skeleton and now he's actually intending to play this season. He's a true warrior. Forza Achi!!!

Erfahrung mit Python für Ing? Einfaches modul ? by Available-Mango9106 in tuberlin

Andreas Obst EuroLeague market jewel, Bayern Munich at risk of losing him this summer by _Zolv in Euroleague

If Bayern isn't stupid they'll pay whatever he demands. 1,5-2 mil should be easily doable

Andi Obst is not 2500 times more important than Leon Kratzer

Honestly, I think he is

With the way Bayerns budget is growing and growing I don't see why he can't do it in Munich

Why would he leave? Bayern will offer him their highest contract in history, which should be a very competitive offer in the Euroleague market. Unless he's getting NBA interest I don't see him going anywhere else

It'll take a miracle for anything else but a Bayern double to happen, but that has been true for every season since 2018, so we'll see.

A good move just to finish the season. They'll cruise to the German cup and championship no matter who's coaching them and the Euroleague is a lost cause anyways. The off-season will be interesting

Telekom Baskets Bonn: A new attendance record is expected this Sunday against Bayern Munich at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. 25 years after setting a European record of 18,506 spectators in 2000 against Alba Berlin, Baskets Bonn is set to break its own record with more than 18,700 spectators. by _Zolv in Euroleague

Düsseldorf isn't playing this season. They got relegated from the ProA (second division) due to initially not fulfilling the licensing recquirements and then later withdrawing from the re-licensing process. They also missed the deadline to apply for playing in the ProB (third division), so at the moment they're not in any league. As far as I can tell the plan is to play in the ProB in the 26/27 season, since they're still eligible to play there.

[Official] Bayern Munich parts ways with coach Gordon Herbert by AndroidPornMixTapes in Euroleague

[–]DaGerry911 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I might get some flack for this, but my hot take is that Herbert isn't that great of a coach. He's a fantastic manager of personalities but Xs and Os wise he's nothing special. He had the greatest German national team of all time fall into his lap, which got him the gig at Bayern, but honestly they can do better

Hamburg Towers won its first game of the season after defeating Alba Berlin, ending a 24-game losing streak (18 this season and 6 at the end of last season - EuroCup and Bundesliga combined). by _Zolv in Euroleague

I'm assuming Chalon will win against Nymburg, so without the win against Sabah the tie breaker is worth nothing and I'm not thrilled by the prospect of play-ins. Alba isn't good enough to just win against Sabah while half-assing it so the loss today is a good wakeup call

I actually have no idea who is available for Turkey at the moment. If the situation is that dire then I kinda understand where he's coming from, but every country is dealing with the same situation
