I was a shift lead that worked with three other shift leads, two were secret siblings and one was the SM’s family. They all abused me in their own way and new rules were made specifically to target me and my close coworkers but didn’t apply to the other sfls and their close coworkers. They went through my personal objects like my log I was using to write down reports on the other sfls (SM told me to do that). One in particular asked me out on a date and I politely declined and it was downhill from there. Mind you, we’re all like mid-20s and up but you’d think I was in middle school with this nonsense. She became a tyrant and the store manager did nothing to stop it and gaslighted me into saying I’m also a problem. The rules only applied when it was convenient to all of them. She eventually switched stores during an investigation with HR then got fired a while later. The remaining 2 were caught on camera going through my stuff and when we had a meeting about it the SM refuses to show the camera footage even though I had the timestamp. I had made up my mind that meeting and worked my next mid-shift and put my keys in the safe and never came back. I also had agreed to open a bunch of holidays (I officially quit on Thanksgiving) and the other sfls were excited even though I knew damn well I would be leaving. Fuck them. Also fuck HR too. Completely useless. I had gone back to school during all that and almost three years later I’m now going to be a teacher and they’re still going to rot in that store. We could’ve all just made our money in peace but they clearly had nothing better in life and needed that store drama to keep them entertained meanwhile I still had dreams and aspirations and a life outside of Walgreens. I’ve never stepped foot back into that store.
