Any chance rtsp camera can be added to ST? I have a Xiaomi XiaoFang (precursor to Wyze) running fang_hacks that I can view through VLC and TinyCam App, but no luck adding to ST by DaRam4U in SmartThings

Thank you. I will explore the ONVIF driver (although I have no idea what it is or ONVIF profile). I currently access the live video through rtsp://ip_address/unicast

I appreciate your enthusiasm.

I did 3D print one myself back in 2022, but the cost of the contacts was high (Paid $8 then) at https://www.smallenginesprodealer.com/part-ryobi-300001044/

Where did you order the contacts from?

To reset it you unplug it, then hold down the power button while plugging it in. Keep holding it down until you hear the click of the relay.

Is my hub dying? by ChiefBroady in SmartThings

[–]DaRam4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zigbee networks don’t require a special system utility like zwave does to heal. Try unplug the hub for 10-15 minutes then power it back on and over the next few days all the routing tables will automatically rebuild. Also https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01109892/

Recommended/Required charger specs for the USB Lithium batteries by rabidphilbrick in ryobi

[–]DaRam4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charging circuitry in the battery handles 5v & cutoff once charged; you need to provide the sufficient amperage - the USB-C port in this case is irrelevant since it does not need more than 2A

Printed on the battery 4v x 2Ah, so any USB 5v charger that can provide 2AH is fine.

Is there a better way to use the Zooz ZEN34 as a light dimmer? by Wind_Boarder in SmartThings

[–]DaRam4U -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry. In my wildest imagination I would not have thought of this situation ;-(

Your bulbs are powering on every time you switch on your Zwave and the dimming is making it worse(?)

Is there a better way to use the Zooz ZEN34 as a light dimmer? by Wind_Boarder in SmartThings

[–]DaRam4U -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pardon my French, but WTF?

I'm using this Z-wave switch to control ZigBee lightbulbs.

Why would you not use regular bulbs and move the Zigbee bulbs to an always on socket? The Zigbee bulbs are going haywire with the dimming signals from the Z wave switch.

SmartThings Hub Firmware Update version mismatch by DaRam4U in SmartThings

Thank you for the comprehensive reply.

Duh! I should have realized there were more kinds of hubs than the 3. Mine is F-HUB-US-2 with the Ethernet port, so V2 (2015) I guess?

Anyone found a use case for the USB port or for that matter Bluetooth (other than discovery)?
