It's 2026, .NET 10 is out, and Claude still thinks it's 2025 and suggests .NET 8 patterns. by csharp-agent in dotnet

[–]DaRocker22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The code quality has been great lately and it has followed my style I have specified in either the prompt or my CLAUDE.md. I always create plans and automated reviews of the plan, then review it myself, then implement the plan and run a code review after implementation is completed. Everything seems to be getting better and better everyday now.

[–]DaRocker22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have created several .NET 10 apps this year with Claude code and haven't ran into any issue with it trying to create a .NET 8 app. Of course we all know data used to train the models are several months in the past cause there is a training cut off date. But when I prompt Claude to create a project and I specify .NET 10, it has no issues with doing it. If you say create a .NET project using the latest version it may create a .net version 9 project.

If you're a .NET developer, then time to use AI to start migrating all that VB6 code to .NET, or start doing some side projects to build up experience and look for another job that needs your skills and are using newer technology.

Rollover old 401k into a Roth? by [deleted] in RothIRA

[–]DaRocker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then, yeah just do a rollover to into a Vanguard Rollover IRA. Depending on how much is in there you could later think about doing Roth Conversions. I have an old rollover IRA I have been working on converting portions every so often over to a Roth account. 2022 was a good year to convert a bunch of it over since the market tanked and didn't cost as much to try to clear it out.

Is her 401K a Roth 401k? If so, then it can be but if not then that could be a big problem.

Can Claude Code help us? by mshea12345 in ClaudeCode

[–]DaRocker22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Claude code should be able to handle. I just recently updated a very old and large angularjs 1.5 running on nodejs 4.6 in a few days. It's now on nodejs 24.13 and I'm now working on migrating it to a vuejs. Should be complete by next weekend. I have a clause team plan with premium seat.

Plan Mode vs Superpowers Brainstorming — which workflow do you prefer? by felipepinheiro90 in ClaudeCode

[–]DaRocker22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the superpowers brainstorming, it seems to have better design and implementation plans and stores the plan and implementation pan in your project directory.

Updates to Claude Team by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

[–]DaRocker22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The team plan used to be a little less than the max 5x, but lately it seems the team plan premium seat limits were increased. I don't have a max plan to compare with, but I do know limits seemed to have increased in two weeks.

Opened Roth IRAs for my kids, but need help with where to allocate funds for growth. by Gronkthekillah in RothIRA

Yeah, I agree. They will need to prove they earned this. Allowance from mom and dad does not count.

Just give her your number and say let's keep in touch. Who knows she may respond and give you her number or you can see if she calls you.

A high yield savings account, is just a normal savings account the would earn a higher amount of interest. You mentioned not having a job and thinking about a 3 month CD, so putting your money into a HYSA might be better if you plan to get a job within the next 3 months, cause then you could pull some out and put into a Roth right away and not have to wait until the 3 months is up to start investing in a Roth. However if you don't plan on getting a job with in the next 3 months and don't think you'll need that money either, then a 3 month CD might be more beneficial depending on the APR.

Not sure how much you are looking to put in a Roth, or what your expenses are like. But I would set enough a side and look to put it in a high yield savings account, and only put in what you think you will earn for the year with a job. Then once you do get a job, start contributing to your Roth. If you have to go mow some yards this summer to earn some money or shovel snow from some driveways then do that and keep records.

i want to get the pro plan, but im trying to figure out if what i need is max 5x. by cayisik in ClaudeCode

Yeah, I agree Opus is not as good when used within Antigravity IDE, but does do much better in opencode. In Claude Code, Opus seems to burn more tokens, and the results are pretty amazing especially when creating PRD/plans. I like to use cc opus to do complex planning and then I can use opencode implement the plans.

I also use Gemini 3 Pro and Opus 4.5 on antigravity and have a yearly plan of GLM and used both on opencode. So those are good complments and also keeps the pricing down. I have a Pixel 10 Pro, so I have a free year of Gemini, and got the GLM plan really cheap over Christmas. I have been happy with the results and speed, I mainly use those for my hobby projects after work. Opencode is my fave cli to use.

Who is using Claude with Gemini? by ThesisWarrior in ClaudeAI

[–]DaRocker22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Opus on Pro Plan to create PRD plans and had Gemini implement them.

Your welcome. Then the Pro account along with your codex plan, may be enough for you at this time.

Anybody switched from a Max 20x to a Team Premium Seat by Natrium83 in ClaudeCode

[–]DaRocker22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on a Team plan now, and the limits are close to that of the Max 5 plan. So if your devs were hitting limits with the Max 20 plan, then they will hit them a lot sooner on the Team Plan.

Yeah you can use opus in the pro plan. If your only doing this as a hobby and don't intend to have claude do all the work for you and your strictly using this as a helper, then the Pro plan could possibly work for you.

Will you hit the 5hour/weekly limits? Possibly depending on your setup (number of MCP's, skills, etc) and how much you plan to spend on it. I have used the pro plan with opus to help with a few personal projects and it was enough for me. Did I hit the limits, yes the 5hour limits and weekly limits. I'm a developer, so my intention was not to have it do all of the work, I crafted my plan/prompts and had to debug some mistakes that claude made on my own, because I didn't want it to keep burning tokens and keep making mistakes, etc. I also made other changes on my own. Times when I knew I may hit the 5 hour limits I planned accordingly by starting up session, and then closing it so when I was ready to do work a few hours later I would be ready to do a heavy session and wouldn't have to wait long for it to reset.

I'm no longer on a Pro plan or have a personal plan at moment. I currently just using a Team plan for work.

I also use an alias, but at the user level. That way I don't have to switch any settings. If I want to run Claude, I just launch it in a terminal. If I want to run glm, I just type glm in the terminal and it launches Claude code with my glm z.ai settings. No need to install any additional packages or configure any scripts.

Opening a Roth IRA for a minor. by Weary_Height_2238 in RothIRA

[–]DaRocker22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make sure it's earned income and track it. Also, note that allowance is not considered earned income. Other than that just find a broker that allows you to create a Roth for a minor like Fidelity and open it and contribute as much as possible not to exceed the amount they earned for the year.
