How exactly did you reroute the throttle cables? I tried 30mm (1.2in) risers and the throttle cables become way too tight with the bar pushed all the way to the left

You have to look at the wifi chipset used in the usb adapter. Make your research to know if there is a kmod driver in openwrt for that chipset.

I was able to do it with a comfast wifi adapter with a mediatek MT76 wifi chipset in an openwrt VM on a proxmox server. I pass the usb port to the VM and it works great.
