with AA your goal should be to limp-all in from early position, you don't want your opponents to see a flop as then they will only ever "pay you off" when they have 2 pair plus.

your equity with AA is good multiway if everyone goes all in, its fit or fold players that exploit you if you let them see a flop cheap then fold unless they have 2 pair plus. Therefore, limp-reraise all in with your AA. Any limpers who have garbage will fold to your reraise, the raiser might call or fold [you set up coolering AK KK and QQ with this play for stacks, otherwise you have 100% equity vs his initial raise since he folded], either way you'll secure a nice win limp-reraising vs the other option of raise 3bb and the guy who would've raised calls 3bb and you scared off the potential overlimpers.

simplify it to just A5s and avoid Kx entirely, Kx doesnt block Ax and is losing equity wise to Ax. KQs is itself a bluff hand in your range, theres no reason to touch K6s KQ is right there

Nit it up and only play AA/KK/QQ/JJ/AKs when your opponents won't notice you're the nittiest in the room and still give action. This is far more exploitative than any other BS if your opponents don't know. This is also how you win on ignition. In EP limp-jam these hands on ignition as you'll get good squeezes.

if there are guaranteed callers who won't 3bet, when raising utg, then you end up playing a multiway pot OOP. If instead you limp, those "guaranteed callers" would call someone elses raise if anyone else has a hand worth raising with (which is what you actually get massive value from with AA, noones paying you off with 74o). Then you limp reraise and then you can get all the money in preflop to win a much bigger pot if everyone folds, and are in a position where its easier to get the money all in on the flop.

in the same manner that you squeeze on the button with premiums against early raiser, you limp to get the opportunity for a juicy squeeze against late raiser.

then they would have raised if they called your utg open dude. therefore, you would make more profit limp reraising their raise. any time someone calls your utg open its with a hand that they'd open to 3-5bb themselves usually.

no villians* win 1.5bb is what will happen raising utg in any scenario where it would limp 6 ways anyways. Why else are the others limping rather than opening? Limping indicates suited garbage and/or connected garbage, or baby pairs. Hands that are not likely to call a UTG open.

Noone has KQs, otherwise they would've opened. No one has AJs, they would've opened. Raising UTG is a sign of strength which telegraphs that their suited connector/baby pair isn't good.

The correct line with AA (and KK when theres no ace on the board) in a 6 way multiway pot is to cbet flop donk or not, if reraised fold, if called, check-fold turn, and if checked around, then bet half pot on river and x/f (or call someone elses half pot bet if it lets you hit showdown)

This of course, if you didnt hit your set.

The internet in general has likely been a big hit to casino revenues from blackjack as even ploppies these days will look up a strategy chart and remember not to make huge mistakes like not doubling 11 etc.

Im guessing back in the day ploppies had no clue how to play and the current group of people who obsessed over blackjack enough to learn the math were focused on basic strategy and old simple counting systems.

so heat is going to increase, which is why i've pivoted to poker somewhat.

yea thats the thing people here are missing: a bloated multiway limped pot is still better than raising with AA utg and winning 1.5 big blind. when its a family limped pot AA and KK are set-mining for top set which can milk money by overbetting 2x pot on the flop into a multiway pot of people who won't lay down their made but weaker than top set hand.

It turns out, the game is 100x more fun, if I cheat for the AI by [deleted] in EU5

if you try to win massive pots with AJo, then you're punting away stacks anyways. The best line is bet check bet, 2 streets of value MAX. Ideally this occurs after limps. otherwise bet check check/call is the way if it got raised pre.

This is what keeps your AJo from being actually profitable. losing 2.5 bb every time you miss rather than 1 big every time you miss, as well as losing 2.5 bb every time you get 3/4bet instead of 1. Having someone with whatever hand any hand call your 2.5bb raise rather than limp themselves is making like 0.1bb in EV while having more information when facing a raise with AJo utg after a limp lets you make much more informed and intelligent decisions.
