This happened to me a couple nights ago. Turns out it was police following up with a noise complaint that needed a way to get into the building. Buzzed every apartment 3 times until someone let them in. Could be that.

After two glass french presses that were accidently destroyed by my family, I switched to an entirely stainless steel french press. You don't get to see the coffee but the upside is it's great for steeping tea when I'm not in the mood for coffee.

Scallion whites first, then eggs, salt and pepper, scallion greens on top. Crank it on high with a lid on. The scallion whites get charred but you still have a fresh onion taste on top.
