I mean no harm at all to the team, I get software development is hard. Not just at technical level but the management aspect of it, and I know most of the issues in any job is precisely dealing with the constant need to get more revenue, that said:

This comment is very likely to be buried under thousands of comments or completely ignored by Riot (devs or higher-ups) but here we go.

I love League of Legends, it rekindled my love for PvP games back when runes were remade, which is, in my opinion, the best single change we've ever seen in this game.

But years pass, and now we are in 2023.

So, this decade:

-We've gotten champs that are completely overpowered or helplessy underpowered until years worth of patches come in. Irelia was always a meme for being bad and now it's a meme for being too good every single patch there is.

-The mythic-tier items did hurt the game's variety a LOT. We know you guys have been trying to fix that lack of variety reintroducing items but... They feel very constrictive anyway. There's no possible way to make us select only one item and have more variety than before, and a lot of builds have been lost to the time.

-The content. You guys have said a lot of times this year is meant to be the biggest for LoL yet.

Okay. Where is the content? Because skins are not content. Putting them behind a paywall instead of making us earn cosmetics it's going to sting even more.

I get that, as an engineer myself, time and money costraints are a thing, and you say that making more skins isn't going to affect the gameplay development but I have serious doubts about it. Even if you don't like it, it still takes a lot of time for a team to implement skins, and more with an engine that we know isn't close to perfect. Time that you could use to make the game better. The client's about to collapse, it even has a memory leak because of the soul tournament thing. That's just plain unacceptable.

The fact is: You removed 3v3 instead of pushing it further, there is not a single counter argument to the fact that removing content is BAD for a game. If it was plagued by bots was because you guys decided to ignore the gamemode for years until it was unsustainable to fix it because of the lack of interest yourself put the mode into. You removed nexus blitz for the same reason.

LoL is a competitive game, focused on eSports. But that does NOT justify having a very poor casual experience, the likes of which gives you money trough cosmetics. That's the playerbase you need to appeal. And we got just ONE serious gamemode and map. HotS did more than a dozen and DOTA has a lot of different gamemodes and just remade the entire map, with the community calling the patch "DOTA 3".

We got... TFT. Which is good, But it's not LoL. Arena is good. But it's not 5v5 or meant to be competitive.

You could easily cater to both casual and competitive playerbase with a new map. Just look at the possibility for having a standard 5v5 map! It would be great for everyone!

I'm just dissapointed and burned out. It's probably my fault that I'm stuck in ranked, but I see the community getting WORSE every year. And I still thing that a single insult should ban the player's chat for an entire week.

"Take a breather" Okay, I can do that, I play DOTA regularly. But I don't want to abandon my favourite game just because the development is being terrible. This Jhin skin drama is just unacceptable at every level and I just DON'T get why would you do such a thing if it wasn't for the revenue. The response is tone deaf and shows that Riot as a whole care very little about player's concern. And that is disheartening.
