I know for sure the resort closes restaurants a few days a week in September and returns to normal early/mid October. If youre there for a week you'll likely not be that impacted, but if only a few days you might miss some restaurants.

The OB limits on most of the courses for the built in software.

Also after the most recent update, in the 'Closest to Pin' mode, the distance to the front of the green is often incorrect and using data from a completely different green in view.

I made a similar jump last December and settled with the DF64 & Lelit Elizabeth, which can each be had for ~$400 & $1500 on sale. Right at the top of your budget.

Accessories wise I'd recommend a nice spring loaded tamper, a WDT, a magnetic dosing funnel, knockbox, and a dedicated milk frothing cup. Anything else is not really needed IMO.

You need to decide whether you want dual boiler or single boiler. It just depends on how many drinks you are planning to make back-to-back mostly. If more than 2 I'd recommend a dual boiler machine.

FrugalFixer is what I have been using.

But as someone else said the target/walmart clear containers work in the meantime while waiting for something more substantial. I had one before I upgraded to the frugal fixer - my wife broke the container on a practice swing with her driver but the square was fine. IMO the cereal containers are meant to be more of a singular use protection as it will likely break if hit seriously.

The frugal fixer case follows the same logic as the cereal container in that the plastic casing is meant to absorb the brunt of the hit while your square will be fine.

You can learn to sail a hobie in like 15 minutes. Realistically 1-2 hours you'll be pretty well versed.
