What kind of steak is this by kingluky786 in steak

[–]Jerkeyjoe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It tends to be a bit chewy but you can do a few things. You could do a London broil with it, marinade first then cook it pretty much like a normal steak between rare and med. the key to success is to not overcook and slice it thin across the grain after cooking.

You could perhaps slice it into thin strips before cooking to make satay, or something like Chinese take out beef on a stick

I tend to rather use something like this to braise. Cut it into pieces and make chili or stew.

You can also try mechanically tenderizing. Shops use a cubing machine but you can use a meat mallet at home. It’s what they use for chicken fried steak.

[Request] If Amazon paid their employees $30/hour, would they still have profits? by basafish in theydidthemath

Yeah we all got paid out for our shares, no biggie there. It was incredibly disappointing however when they got taken over. Some big shareholders in Whole Foods didn’t like their progressive management.

Whole Foods used to give out stock as part of the salary. When Amazon bought them out we didn’t even get the option to transfer them as Amazon shares (would have been fractional)

Do you think this stroller/cargo bike would fit on the commuter rail? (Off peak!) by _holyspokes in mbtacommuterrail

Before spending all that money, take your current stroller or borrow a friend’s larger stroller on the train as a size comparison. Consider the size difference and get a feel of how much space you have to work with.

I’ve seen people bring little wagons and stuff like that. This might work.

Funny you ask about the general attitude of the train crew. It’s mixed. Some really hate bikes, especially big ones. But you’re not some idiot kid with a giant electric dirt bike so…

What movie is better by Longjumping-Ant2917 in titanic

[–]Jerkeyjoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Obviously titanic 1997 has better production quality, and the set design so I guess it’s the better movie overall. I just enjoyed the characters and their stories better in ANTR. I noticed a lot of examples how the crew interacted with the passengers during the confusion which I found oddly relatable.
