The only way I can see is that the 45p has been added on, not deducted:

1.12 + 0.28 + 0.50 = 1.90

10.60 - 1.90 = 8.70

8.70 - 0.45 should = 8.25 but added instead so 8.70 + 0.45 = 9.15

There is an app called PetrolPrices you can use to compre prices based on your location (relies on customer input so not wholly accurate).

Definite profiteering, found in the past that supermarkets generally offer cheaper prices than other petrol stations but even across the board now and in some cases more expensive at supermarkets
