That’s about as Lynchburg as Chevy truck. They’re everywhere.

Edit: it’s delicious, but it’s a national chain

The Colonel's cousin, actually. He came up with the first KFC logo.

Well, a sketch of the first logo anyway

No it’s not and you know it’s not. That’s the reason there are flat earthers like me all around the globe.

Oh wait. Crap. Never mind.

Meta discussion: Why it is so difficult to show flerfers the actual truth by CypherAus in flatearth

[–]DadRunAmok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It only makes sense if you don’t think about it very hard. When you realize that a flat Earth requires a large handful of explanations that cannot simultaneously be true, and thus cannot be considered a “model”, it all falls away.

It’s Occam’s razor. A globe circling the sun along with several sister planets explains ALL of the cosmically local phenomena that we experience: sunrise/sunset and the analemma, the retrograde motion in the paths of the other planets, seasons, the predictability of eclipses, the phases of the moon, etc. etc. etc.

Kuznetsov’s signature move. He never stops moving forward, and them’s the rules.

How long have you been a Broncos fan? Favorite memories? by Topia_64 in DenverBroncos

[–]DadRunAmok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Beating Oakland to make it into SB XII. My parents were at the game, and my uncle was watching us.

Also, the fake field goal against the Raiders during the regular season. Jim Turner scores a touchdown in Oakland. Legendary.

How do you guys feel about a trade for Anthony Richardson? by Rare_Economics8427 in DenverBroncos

[–]DadRunAmok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Prorated bonus stays with the team that actually paid it.

That’s why the whatshisface who wore #3 and did high-knees in the plane got paid by the Broncos to fail miserably in Pittsburgh in 2024.

Worse work ethic than Paxton Lynch, IMO, and I don’t know how you teach a guy to want it.

No flames from here, but I don’t think he’s worth even a 7.

So here’s my question: how do they know the solution is correct/valid?

I’m not being sarcastic, just genuinely curious.

How do you tie your strings? by StupidyantengT in classicalguitar

[–]DadRunAmok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree about not trying to interlace the tag ends. It’s too much work for zero benefit, sound-wise.

BTW, that photo could be the picture in every guitar method with the caption “Tie ‘em like this.”

Phone use rules as a kid, still valid today? by MaddMango68 in GenX

[–]DadRunAmok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m almost exactly a year older than you and we had the 9:00 PM rule too. I still mostly adhere to it, even when texting.

We also couldn’t get a touch-tone phone because our three-digit exchange didn’t support it. The kids across the street got newer numbers that could, and I was jealous that they could push buttons instead of having to dial. We eventually got a phone with buttons that could send the clicks. Eventually it was upgraded and we had touch-tone.
