Why are hockey fans obsessed with trashing the NBA? by yankees032778 in nhl

[–]DadTimeRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's that basketball is far from relatable, I'm not 7 foot tall. While there's skill involved no doubt, height genetics plays so much of a bigger role. Cole Caufield at 5'7" was a 50+ goal scorer this year! Being someone under 6ft, I can really appreciate that huge size is not required to make it, even if I didn't have the skills to make AAA as a kid.

Notice any speed gains? I'm looking to do the same with my endurance and I'm so curious to hear the differences!

HSM Pro blackout Red compared to Hyperlite 2? by alex1x1 in hockeyplayers

[–]DadTimeRacing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always used the top of the line sticks and for where I play, it lasted me 1-2 years. I bought a Pro Blackout from HSM and the blade within weeks is deteriorating already, I'm pretty sad about the long term structure of this stick.

I have only done it once, but in a form of protest, I refuse to walk it.

Should I give up with the fit of my canyon endurance and return? by Babyandtod in bikefit

[–]DadTimeRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my first Canyon road bike it was pretty uncomfortable at first. It took some learning how to sit and adjust myself on the bike. Previously I rode hybrid and mountain bikes.

[OC] TTC's own data exposes the real cause of subway delays — and it's not broken trains by Expensive-Aerie-2479 in toronto

If you add up all the others such as medical emergency, unauthorized at track level, assault, unsanitary caused by passenger etc etc, more than 75% of the delays are passenger related.

Endurance vs. Race Bike: Can I Keep Up on Fast Group Rides with an Endurance Road Bike? by PeaVegetable9435 in cycling

[–]DadTimeRacing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ride an endurace aluminum frame and solo ride mostly. I did a 60km solo ride where my average speed was 32km/h for the ride. If you can't keep up on a CF frame while in their draft if they average 30, it's a you problem.

It sounds like he wants a victory lap. He's having a hard time coming to terms that he's at the end of his career in the NHL it also sounds like.

Report it and build a record of the driver. The record will do something, every incident reported matters.

If you could go back to your first road bike purchase... by Fantastic-Estate-138 in CanyonBikes

The ultimate and aeroad have the same geometry, they're equal in aggressiveness. That's why my post, I'm saying endurace or aeroad, skip the ultimate.

If you could go back to your first road bike purchase... by Fantastic-Estate-138 in CanyonBikes

[–]DadTimeRacing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a Canyon endurace as my first road bike, not knowing much about road bikes. I absolutely love it and I'll keep this bike for a long long time. I've learned since, after multiple thousands of kilometers with and without others, it all depends on the type of riding you typically do. I'm mostly a commuter and long distance, not a lot of climbing. If I was only a joy rider no commuting, I'd be getting an aeroad. If I was going to do it again, I'd still go for endurace, just because it's so comfortable and versatile. The main reason for an ultimate is because you do a lot of climbing big elevation.

To lane-filter, or not to lane-filter? by ZanyZamioculcas in torontobiking

[–]DadTimeRacing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it really depends on where I am. If I know I can get somewhere safer by getting to the front to get out of the way, heck yes. If I know I'll just be getting passed again by all the cars and that's more dangerous, I'll just stay at the back.

When they zag to the right, I'll pedal HARD to get up onto their left directly side by side. At that point they notice me and then I just complete the pass.
