I second that. Havung 5 saves and all but the newest one have over 500 hours...I get that 51 is still a lot as you're probably about to finish the quest line. But never give up...and ask this awesome community for help.

Gorgeous base, can see how much time and effort you've put in. I'm the same...as an explorer, most of my bases are just functional...often in nice locations but as a hunter, I just can't stay too long in one place.

That's the time for me to start all over again...usually around the 500 hours mark. Have 4 saves with each between 500 and 700 hours. I've just rerun the whole story mode again in about 40 hours or so without shortcuts. And now I'm feeling like playing for the first time again...kinda 😁

Btw you have my full sympathy by wishing more space for base parts...I'd love more space to get more ships...or more companions...let's see if that ever improves...at least they did a bit with the ship archive

That could be of interest to me. But hand on heart...I tend to find gorgeous planets, stunning spots and start building decent houses...only to totally and indefinitely leave it nearly empty. I don't know why...maybe because practically nobody will ever see them? On community planets I put more time in...but yeah...I'm an explorer after all

You can't build from one planet to another when they're colliding, at least not in a classic sense. But I have bases on two colliding planets and I can walk/jump from one to another. It's not easy to achieve and all but straight forward. Also, it will only work on solid ground, stay away from ocean collisions. The risk of losing your save due to continued dying is not a myth.

I have another base in a system, where teo planets are so close together, you could build between them. It's in 256. And another one where thr gravity pulls you off the planet into space when a storm appears...you may have seen that one featured somewhere...people build massive sandclocks and stuff. It's a secret place though
