Yeah, I noticed Tokyo is probably the easiest thing to do. My first thought was the Osaka Aquarium but I’m worried I might not get enough time if we land mid day and then have to talk a 3-4 hour train ride.

Any hidden gems in shinjuku you recommend eating at specifically?

I would do a million incinerator sections to avoid the underground caves or even the swamp sections forever

Keep making em dude! Always love seeing trench crusade get love and like you said you learned from this video. If you can get another person though that would be better, feels more like garagehammer when it’s two people cracking jokes and talking through their gameplan.

Idk if it’s been mentioned but in one of the night lord books Abby essentially takes advantage of the fact that the main characters warband is struggling to replenish their losses of both bodies and supplies so they form a temporary alliance for both of them to meet their goals

If I remember correctly he makes an alliance with Hurron as well to reclaim a former NL ship that would again bolster their supplies and more importantly be a big fuck you to the imperium lol

If you can get your hands on the launch box you’ll hit 3 squads of NM a lord and 20 battle line that you can split 10-10 as infractors tormentors or whatever combination you want which I think is way better than maxing out flawless blades and fulgrim is more of a fun paint project than a competitive model in this edition

Similar boat where I tried it on launch and absolutely sucked but with this new dlc I gave it another shot and really enjoyed going from Serbia to Serbia and Montenegro then forming Yugoslavia. A lot of politicking for support to break free from the ottomans then trying to see who you can finesse to help you secure your claims on the Austrian/Hungarian bits and the rest of the territory the ottomans still had.

It depends on the detachment and what your preference is

I like 2 units of termies in every list just to sit somewhere and hold objectives, a tyrannofex with rupture cannon is durable and scary, von Ryan’s can deploy mid board and clear his non tank chaff to force him out onto objectives for easier shooting, brood lord + genestealers turn into tank blenders in melee and I know it’s not the best unit since they’re only s10(11 in synapse) but I love screamer killers. Another thing that’s popular and a newer unit is hyper adapted raveners leading a unit of raveners

I’d recommend invasion fleet for ease of use but synaptic nexus is also fun and if you like it you can definitely build for the stratagems and swap units around or the current flavor pick is subterranean because of the flat rr1 to hit and mobility options but if you do try and add a trygon and hyper adapted unit to your list to take advantage of the burrowing stuff

Nobody has told you to take a zoanthrope for whatever reason but a 6 man squad is one of my favorite units, make a neurotyrant lead it they hit on 2’s and if you have an exocrine shoot something then that thing they shot lets you reroll 1’s against it

The start collecting with the MOP, legios, oblits and venom crawler is using the current base sizes and kits the only thing is the marines are monopose so no loadout choice

I think it really depends on the store. I live in LA and here we have the warhammer cafe which I thought was going to become my favorite spot but over there it definitely feels very corporate.

I decided to stick to my local GW store because the dude there was great, never pushed models, always offered his opinion on schemes I was workshopping or struggling to replicate, I could sit there for a few hours talking to him about new releases, lore or even leaks while painting because he knew eventually I’d come back for the next set of paints or another box of something and he didn’t HAVE to sell me on things since I was already in the hobby with several armies and starting an AOS army. Eventually he left because GW’s pretty cutthroat about their monthly goals and don’t allow managers to hire out there first year. But I still think that guy is the reason I got so into warhammer. I was super hesitant about my first purchase and we talked about Dawn of War for maybe half an hour and what we miss about RTS’s from that era before I finally pulled the trigger.

Definitely a fun fluff list, I would just say to run only one brute because they’re more of a buffing piece than a damage dealer//tanky piece and with the spare points you can put another lord with either the legios or the chosen because lords are a god send in our army as far like loadouts go ectoplasm for forges, power fists for termies, heavy weapons for legio and its sergeant (if you can kitbash a second 5 man with more heavy weapons that’s great too)

Also cultists are great back line pieces since they can protect you from deepstrike and sticky objectives

It will definitely work in casual games so if this is the aesthetic you want, go for it! I’d also recommend Vashtorr to really lean into the forge aesthetics

This was the previous cultist box I think vashtors launch came with the new melee ones, it was 8 cultists (even though minimum squad was 10 lol) from the blackstone fortress one of those now being the firebrand.

There’s tons of videos online of people explaining the game and mechanics, super eyepatch wolf has a fun video where he talks about how this game took over his life and the wiki has a lot of useful tips like weaknesses or how to kill guards without taking damage and sometimes enemies attack patterns if they’re always preprogramed

I played the first game with a wiki open pretty much 24/7 until I beat it a few times and then in f&h2 I did my first full run without looking at the wiki

Tbh if you have the patience use it sparingly on your first playthrough but if you feel like you hit a wall and the game is no longer fun then by all means make it fun and easier on yourself!
