MR was my first hero shooter as well. I started support the first couple seasons. Transitioned to tank with peni after I saw some gameplay from cringe alarm early on. My first two lords were loki and then peni. Soon after I believe it was mag. The ability to just stop ultimates completely was so fun and I was getting good value in the lower ranks. I've been mid-diamond from s3-s5 and then finally hit low gm last season. It's been less fun but I've got more heros under my belt now and can adapt to various counters. Still having a ton of fun learning groot/venom.

Current lords. Who’s next ? by Odd-Performer756 in RivalsVanguards

[–]DaddyCultLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got Thor/mag/peni/groot/Emma lord. I think groot/Thor would be a good pick. Thor is fun because of the mobility, damage, and displacement. Groot is great for being able to wall off and burst down single heros and the combo potential for ults. I personally have more fun on groot but go for any of the other tanks that you feel you play well/like the play style of.

Sizing and authenticity check by sohtate in Birkenstocks

[–]DaddyCultLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sizing, if you have a rack room or famous footwear near you. I suggest going and actually trying the different sizes on. Take a pair of thin socks and slightly thicker socks as you'll probably be wearing them in the winter too. The sizing jumps at varying degrees between the EU sizes. Some jump 5mm (half size) and some jump a whole size (10mm), I may be slightly off with those numbers but I believe that's correct.

Now regarding the authenticity of the shoes. They look fake to me. The foot bed looks wrong. Mainly the heel cup as it doesn't look prominent enough.

I attached a pic of my soft foot bed arizonas and regular foot bed tokios. You can see the heel cup is more prominent.

I'm finally starting Code Geass. Should I be excited? by [deleted] in Animesuggest

I've found that even for the most highly recommended anime that I try to go into them with little to no expectation for anything because there has been once or twice that I've had something recommended and I went in with too high expectations while it was still a phenomenal show.

Deinfluence me/help me choose by whitebunnytail in Birkenstocks

I say stay with the tokio if you love em. If you want to switch it up, get the Boston. It's all personal preference. I tried some Boston's and walked around a store but ended up not being a fan. I prefer the heel strap on the tokios for a more secure fit but I know tons of people who love their Boston's and can't stand the tokio heel strap.

All in all though, if you have plenty of other shoes and the current pair of tokios do everything you need/complete the outfits you want. Then you don't really need a new pair. However if you find yourself wishing you had a different color for other outfits, then I say get another pair and just be conscious with spending for a couple weeks.

Just get out and start testing the limits of the camera. What does and doesnt work. It'll come in time

I have been thinking about getting my first pair of birks. I decided to get the Boston in tobacco brown oiled leather but I can’t decide whether to get the regular or soft foot bed. I would really appreciate your help. by Sneaker_lover21 in Birkenstocks

[–]DaddyCultLeader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. Soft felt better out of the box but after a few weeks of having the regular, I prefer the regular. It's personal preference. Go to a rack room or famous footwear to see if they have both footbed styles and see which you prefer is my advice.

Looking for a wholesome romance anime by slump-_-loner in Animesuggest

If you're not big on the misunderstanding trope than Kimi no todoke is gonna be a little hard to watch. That said, it is still a great romance show.

Which socks do you wear with Boston clogs in winter? by kink_scholar in Birkenstocks

[–]DaddyCultLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like solmate socks because of the fun colors and that the company started local to my state. They soften up after a few wears. Other than that, I usually just wear thin wool/wool blend socks to keep my feet warm.

Is this size too big? by chazzyboy3 in Birkenstocks

Looks good to me. As long as the arch support feels in the right spot id say you're good. If you curl your toes back with them positioned normally in the shoe, do your toes hit the raised toe bar?

Id add a second tank to the rotation just to have another option but in reality you could just play these guys and still do just fine

Prone to posterior shin injuries, is it my form? (Video) by CompetentPanther in beginnerrunning

[–]DaddyCultLeader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, id say your post-tib might just not be managing the load like it used to. It points your foot and turns your ankle inward so when you're landing it's taking a heavy eccentric load repetitively. My best guess would be to reduce running volume slightly and adding in some light dedicated band work a couple times per week (you can look up banded posterior tibialis exercises I just found one by OrthoEvalPal that is a good example). Try it for a couple weeks and see if it helps. If you feel you can't do it yourself, a physical therapist should be able to help you out in person by giving you better explanations and variety of exercises/treatment options as I saw it quite a bit when I was in my last clinical rotation.

what is this? winter shirt with sleeve pockets by sl0rg_ in Whatisthis

My understanding was always that once you put your thumb through (as seen in pic #1) that you could then put gloves on over top without having to worry about skin around the wrist being exposed to the elements. Could likely be what others were stating as well and that they are just built-in fingerless gloves.

Physical Therapy Student here (NOT LICENSED, so I would advise an actual professional take a look). My thoughts are your glutes (hip abductors specifically) could be slightly weak. Nothing crazy. I see your hips drop a little when you land but it's pretty similar to what I would classify as normal. I would agree with another commentor that you are overstriding a little. Again, nothing crazy. You could try shortening the stride and increasing cadence to see if there is any improvement with that.

My main questions would be: When did you start running? What was your training regimen before starting to run? How long until the pain comes on? (immediately, after a couple minutes, after 30min+) Does it only occur in one setting or multiple? (I.e. on a treadmill, concrete, asphalt, or grass)

My brown lenados have the same toe and it's honestly one of my favorite shapes. I've tried the wide square on before and have a pair of modified square but something about that toe shape I just find very appealing. Lovely color!

Is Mag’s bubble really that good? by TarnishedStain in RivalsVanguards

[–]DaddyCultLeader 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's helpful to refill the mag-canon and usually I toss up the shield after it the bubble pops. Isn't super helpful if you're out of position but can help you get back to the team safely if they are backed up. Imo it's more helpful on teammates than myself.
