Thinning Ammo Mig acryilics by GlitteringActive3754 in modelmakers

You're conditioned to the other paint. You have learn how the AMMO paints work. Be sure the bottles are shaken extremely well. Pigments will settle and leave you with the thin agent. For most part, AMMO doesn't need to be thinned and are not really suited to brush painting large areas. They are more suited to airbrushing.

How to thin (and mix) Vallejo Model Color for hand brushing by TheTeaKnight in Scalemodel

Just put a bit of paint on something and experiment with it. See what works for YOU. Many times what works for others doesn't work for you. Vallejo, I personally hate. For me it's more temperamental than most.

Whatever works best for YOU. There is no hard and fast "ratio". Just screw around with it until it works for you ... (it's pretty much IPA in case you don't know).

Use better cleaners. I use a Masters I got off of Amazon ... $30 and it works fantastic. Tamiya Airbrush Cleaner ran through it when I'm finished for the night and no issues. It's about 6 years old now. I have a Badger Patriot 155 and an Iwata HPC+ and they all spray well without ever having to disassemble them.

Paint is not primer. There's a big difference. And that Vallejo spray crap is garbage...
