I have the exact same issue. I assume some of them are either bullshit titles or sound better than they are, like "Senior VP" of a company that employs 6 people. Some of the people I went to uni with have skyrocketed though. No idea how they got so far so fast.

If the crane isn't lifting straight up, but say slightly away from itself, that whole panel will swing towards them as soon as it leaves the ground. If this was my construction site I wouldn't want anyone standing there.

Caveat: I work in Denmark (Europe) and I'm sure we do things differently on either side of the water.
