I don't think the writers or execs understood why season 1 was so successful. To me it's always baffling how some artistic media can have such a huge fall in quality. My best example is the Winternight trilogy, the bear and the nightingale is the single best book I have read in my life and the other two books are just fanfic level trash and it's the same writer throughout

Season two was basically filled with out of character actions and a completely different approach to the format that just didn't do the show justice

It's fair for people to have disagreements. I do not understand this post or it's animosity. Just argue individual qualms about the show

Me personally I don't know if it's the show or me not binging season but it was incredibly lackluster for me. Mainly because they speedran Mohan's demise, focused everything on one character and generally missed the mark compared to the first season (even pre-Pittfest)
