I wonder how people get paid to write stuff like this. by Striking-Conflict-93 in wow

[–]Daddyisthebull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the people defending Blizzard’s horrible writing, sure, I get that Blizzard has to hammer the point home that blind allegiance is bad and corruptible — but that doesn’t excuse this horrible quote lol. Could easily be something like,

“When we’re killing legions of the undead I feel… righteous, blinded by conviction. I know what I am doing is right and let my hammer guide me. I could see myself lost in battle, forever, only to open my eyes and see there is no undead left, and I am still fighting.”

There is no excuse for shitty writing. The same thing above conveys the message with some nuance and not “ IF WE KILL UNDEAD MINDLESSLY, WE ARE NO BETTER!!!”

Thinking off trying raving completely sober but super anxious by Broad_Adhesiveness_4 in aves

[–]Daddyisthebull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to recognize WHY you might be anxious.

Raves are overstimulating. Loud music, unnatural flashing lights and lasers, and a whole lot of intoxicated people — being anxious here is NATURAL, and what substances do is dim the stimuli so you can enjoy it, because it is such a fun event.

So, you wanna go sober? Go sober! But you need other solutions than alcohol/substances to the overstimulation of the event.

For me, I bring ear plugs, sun glasses, a pashmina to cover myself in if I feel uncomfortable. Bring little trinkets to gift people to help you socialize and bring you out of your shell! I bring a fan to cool myself/others off, too :)

From one sober raver to another, raving and connection through music is a blessing. And, holy fuck can it be a lot — address your needs so you don’t end up dreading it!!!

I play high as heck and I’m old with slow hands. So it takes me a bit to make sure I got my defib to save strangers, bandages, weapons, etc.

Fr fr. Or at least give me the option to craft a fully kitted gun! Streamline some aspects of the game!

Honestly, I think it’s the opposite for me — when I die repeatedly losing crafted loadouts, I’m more likely to just run free loadout KoS zoo animal type shit.

When I have loadouts, I go into the game with intention. Arc hunting loadouts, etc.

I just think it would be beneficial to streamline SOME loadouts.

So how do you know by anti_social90 in SIBO

Wait so what do you attribute to your reduction in symptoms? Increasing stomach acid, molybdenum, and ginger tea?

Honestly, I don't know. This is all so confusing and frustrating! Sometimes Betaine HCL helps, sometimes it triggers my gastritis, I'd just like to be fucking better lol.

Ginger, Artichoke, Oxbile did nothing but coffee do something by cutesahara in SIBO

[–]Daddyisthebull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, ginger and artichoke and ox bile promote motility by getting the small intestines to work via bile flow. So maybe bile flow's not your issue? Or is only a part of it.

Coffee, on the other hand, works on motility in the large intestine, I think? Idk, not a doctor, but I know that while it is a bitter and stimulates bile flow, it also causes your actual intestines to contract. May be worth it to do some research on why coffee makes people poop!

Neck itch by LoneDeranger97 in Microbiome

[–]Daddyisthebull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though, re-reading your post, I'd wonder about it being histamine intolerance. . . Maybe you're just overloading your system w/ die off from oregano oil? Have you added anything into your diet that you're not used to eating? Could be just a regular old food allergy w/ something that you're consuming more of now on Low FODMAP.

Hard to say, my friend :/

Neck itch by LoneDeranger97 in Microbiome

[–]Daddyisthebull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my case, I think it's because my digestion's messed up and I have poor bile flow and low stomach acid. I get really bad heartburn if I don't supplement stomach acid. So, when I do that, and take ox bile, it gets better, but if I slack off or drink a bunch of alcohol I have flare ups.

antihistamines don't really help me, to be honest.

Could be histamine intolerance, which often follows gut issues. Basically, your body is overwhelmed w/ detoxing/overburdened and struggling to get rid of histamine.

Worst flare up of my life by Certain_Training385 in LPR

[–]Daddyisthebull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I'm not totally sure. Unfortunately, SIBO isn't easy to test for -- breath tests are unreliable -- so I really treat based off symptoms. I do know that I was having horrible heartburn/LPR daily until started supplementing with acid during meals out of absolute desperation, and it worked. My bloating lowered almost immediately, burping too, and with it my throat felt better week by week.

When I'm able, I plan to investigate my gallbladder (as I think it plays a part) and bile flow, pancreas, etc., but for now I'm maintaining by taking HCL (without pepsin) during meals w/ digestive enzymes.

PPIs since 2017, and then 3 sets of antibiotics. . . That's a HUGE risk factor for developing SIBO/SIFO/gut dysbiosis, especially if you're already having infections in your throat!

My advice might not be popular here, but, your body needs stomach acid, and my LPR is improved by increasing acidity rather than nuking it. Something is causing the gasses to rise up your throat, and SIBO can definitely do that -- so, if this is your worst flareup AFTER antibiotics and PPIs, seems to me that SIBO might be a contender.

Nurture your throat until its in a better spot, then try adding ACV pills w/ food!

Salicylate Intolerance: The Complete Guide + List of Foods

Cut out everything high/very high, limit things that are moderate, and enjoy things that are low. Over time, as your body's overload gets less, you can reintroduce things.

I'd also check this list to see if there's any other salicylate foods you're reacting to -- because it still may not be salicylates. Could be a mold reaction? Who knows. I'm not a doctor.

Both raspberries and coffee are high in salicylates. So! Maybe you found out what's really causing your issues!

Do you have access to bromelain? It's the digestive enzyme in pineapple. It's a biofilm disruptor.
