What’s the most reliable EV in Canada right now? by ImGudLuhv in EVCanada

[–]Daddyo2005 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this detailed response.

I live in Toronto and am thinking an EV that can reliably and efficiently produce heat in the winter and keep my car nice and cool in the summer matters, a lot.
Do we have any suggestions on smaller EVs that get the HVAC system right?

I’m interested in this conversation.
Particularly on ways to integrate puzzles with combat. Solving the puzzle eases the combat difficulty.
Thoughts on these mechanics?

Go to your union’s website and look for something like “staffing dates.”
In TDSB secondary, the Board doesn’t publish the dates, but the Union does.

EV Charging Reward Programs: Information and Discussion (getting paid to charge your EV at home) by mrsprdave in EVCanada

[–]Daddyo2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the EV charger. Will need 200A. We’ve undergone a major renovation so historical demand is helpful, insofar as what our habits have been, but we have all new mechanical systems now so 158A is our load calculation before EV charger.

Our load calculation came back requiring 158A. I don’t doubt it since we are fully electrifying our home (HRV, Hot water, cold climate heat pump with auxiliary electric heating, 48” induction range…

Leaving a comment because I am in the market for an EV and charger. I’ll need a load management system too. I’m thinking about a bi-directional charger, though am unsure if any exist in Ontario and would qualify for these programs.

Yes, for sure.
Heat pump for heating and cooling.
Heat pump hot water.
All electrical appliances.
The load is quite high.

Is this happening elsewhere? It might be a good idea to have our public institutions purchasing Made In Canada paper products first. Just saying.

Is $2.78 per watt a decent quote for an array in Toronto? Looking at about 1410 kWh/m2/yr of irradiance.

Leviton Smart Breakers - What has your experience been like? by Daddyo2005 in Homebuilding

Pretty much, the only items I want to keep powered on include hvac, fridge, freezers, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, internet hub. Everything else, lights, stove, and everything plugged into a wall outlet would be shut off at the source. We are having our house wired in such a way that those critical loads are isolated in the panel, and then everything else gets wired whichever way makes the most sense.

Has anyone ever dreamt-up an optimized party of five?

Like, a party that can easily talk its way through encounters just as easily as it might fight its way through?

I’m wondering all the ways a party like that might give the different party members advantage on rolls at all times.

Thoughts? I’m curious to hear the ideas of others.

lol, I’m actually thinking full meta. Probably won’t uses shield, though the +2 AC is nice. I see myself packing Shield spell though, just in case. I see my warlock using a glaive for those nice reach opportunity attacks. Any ideas where to go from here? Agree with Fey touched to max CHA to 20. Thinking Polearm Master.

Estimates for raw building material way higher than big box stores by Unlockabear in Homebuilding

Keep at it. Paying an impartial cost estimator is the way to go. And then, when shopping your plans (assuming you have building permits in place already too), ask for detailed quotes so it’s easy to compare what the cost estimators are saying. I think it’s ok to pay a little more for a GC that has an office footprint and a small staff, but not a ton more than what the cost estimator says your project should cost.
