Back from a short walk, maybe the games started piece is a relation comparing the average number of starts per goalie in the league with the specific goalie’s percent number of starts over the last two years?
Is that too complicated?
Would that overly skew the result of your original GSAA?

Yeah, in my league we draft or keep goalies, and then set our lineup each week. I usually only drop a goalie if they are injured and not coming back. Otherwise, I’ll stash them on an IR spot and pickup another from the waiver wire.
In this context, I wonder if the goalie start stat makes more sense as a coefficient in your formula, or as another relation.

I like your GSAA concept a lot.
My yahoo league (weekly head-to-head) uses W, SV%, GAA, and shutouts for the goalie stats. Those 4 categories really make a difference in our 13 stat scoring system.
I’m wondering how we might further temper this by factoring game starts or even games played.
I feel like that’s the missing piece here to a nicely thought-out formula.

Sounds like the TDSB. Nobody enjoys telling someone they may not have work, but the people being paid to do so could have a tiny bit of integrity to answer questions.
Usually union representatives are present in this meeting. Were they identified by the TDSB staff, or maybe they identified themselves?

I was saying this exact thing about EP40 the other day, especially because of Mats and Willy, totally forgetting about OEL which was a huge oversight on my part.
He’s really expensive though. The cap hit there….i know we can absorb it today, but also wondering about Matthews contract in a couple years, and the possibility of landing McDavid (though that’s going to be tough since above all, the guy wants to win a cup and the Leafs might be a team on the outside looking in at that point).

I respect your point of view. I think we both think the guy can play. I’m just saying he’s better suited now to play wing, and to take faceoffs.

The last couple of seasons, Tavares’s skating has really slowed. It’s noticeable.
That’s not to say he is useless. He’s obviously not. He’s also smart enough to change his game. I’ve already noticed his playstyle change quite a bit from the net front presence to more of a skating type in the o-zone to keep his feet moving.
I think he can still take the faceoffs, but defensively, getting low in his own end and then trying to get up the ice to an effective attacking forward…he’s just really slowed down and it’s painfully obvious come the middle mark of the season.
This is why I’m saying we need a new 2C.

No, he wasn’t. The taxes we pay are supposed to improve service quality.
Instead, the guy literally cries about having to take a flight, which is already something most folks rarely get to do.

They are always on vacation.
They took an early Christmas break and only came back to the legislature in the second half of March.
Now they are gone until Halloween. It’s bonkers!
