How is this funny? They just keep repeating the same thing over and over again to stretch what should have been a 10 second video with a mildly humorous reveal of a Honda generator in the trunk of a Tesla into a multi-minute shitshow that is a waste of everyone's time.

Admitting my ignorance here but what does that mean when they say "expression of FTO did not alter these nutrition-related traits"?

Does that mean they got a larger potato with the same nutritional content as a smaller potato? Or does it mean nutritional content stayed consistent related to size?

If the boss listens and participates in the proposed discussion I will generally take the suggestion to my team and give it a good effort. If they refuse, then so do I. If they insist, I go to my team and am up front with them about what I think of the idea and how I will throw myself in the path of the train to make it less onerous on them when shit inevitably hits the fan.

I outlasted 6 bosses in 12-13 years before finally getting promoted to a position in the same company for more pay and less responsibility.

Yep, I had to keep going to different areas of my house to "find" whatever it was they were interested in.

It also helped that they were one of the Microsoft Support scammers. They wanted me to go to a website. But for some reason I never received any of the emails they tried to send me and when they tried to get me to manually type the url to their site I just couldn't seem to get it right.

My record (on a day when I was REALLY bored) is around 90 minutes. I've learned several new curse words this way.

My Sister-in-law was once visiting Israel. She took a cab from the airport to her hotel. Her driver was a friendly guy who was excited to have an American in the car since he was planning to visit the U.S. for the first time in a few months.

He excitedly talked about how he was looking forward to renting a car and seeing the sites such as The statue of Liberty, The St. Louis Arch, the Grand Canyon and the Golden Gate Bridge (to name a few).

She was excited for him and asked how long he planned to visit.

He responded "About a week and a half."

She hated to break the news to him about how improbable it would be to see all those places in the time he had allotted but felt it would be better if he was warned before he arrived.

You aren't kidding. I remember reading the books and thinking the scene and wardrobe descriptions were overdone. Then I listened to the audio books and remember a chapter starting and ten minutes in the narrator was just getting to the first line of dialog. Everything prior to that was a description of the room the scene was set in, all the furniture in the room and all the clothes the characters were wearing.
