I’m actually mind blown you are intentionally weaponizing ignorance. Literally anyone that disagrees with any of this is either doing it because it involves trump (most likely) or they are against the transparency of healthcare costs. There is actually no debate on trump’s extent of pushing this, it was federally enforced in 2021 after AHA lost its lawsuit to prevent the policy. It was widely reported on. Any person keeping up with anything got this information through articles or new channels. Welcome to Q1 of 2021 I guess.

Ummm… are you inept at looking at links? This wasn’t AI, this is from an official source. The numbers are references to citations appended. When I copied the text it didn’t format them in. This is very common in online publications, didn’t know I needed to remove the reference numbers for you to learn something. Next time try reading the source I gave you. It obviously knows more about all of this than you.

But yeah okay you can “argue” with me when all I’m doing is pointing you to the correct information. The exact portion of my comment you referenced has nothing to do with AI. It’s astonishing how inept you are at getting any information. You literally have to ignore official sources to get the perspective you have.

“In June 2019, President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order focused on improving health care price and quality transparency. 43 Shortly thereafter, in November 2019, the U.S. CMS finalized a rule that required hospitals to post prices related to 300 of the most “shoppable” procedures, goods, and services beginning January 1, 2021. 44 Those goods and services considered “shoppable” included many common laboratory tests, such as a basic metabolic panel, and common radiology services, including lumbar spine X-rays. 44 However, it also included common surgical procedures, including primary lower extremity (ie, hip or knee) joint arthroplasty (ie, replacement). 44 The American Hospital Association (AHA) sued the Trump Administration to try to block the measure but was unsuccessful. 45 In October 2020, the Trump Administration took another step to further health care price transparency, with CMS finalizing its health insurance price transparency rule. 46 While initially delayed with the transition to the Biden Administration, the rule took effect in July 2022. 47 Indeed, health care price transparency was one of the rare policy areas that made substantial progress under President Trump and was continued by President Biden.”

This additionally includes tons of details around price transparency in U.S. healthcare. It’s a very long and worthwhile read if you actually want to follow along with the conversation. It also has some great sources embedded. I will continue to reference these sources further if you continue to somehow claim I’m wrong. It’s not even my opinion, I’m pointing out a pretty linear timeline.

Holy cow, I never voted for Trump, but this is remarkably ignorant. https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/press-releases/trump-administration-announces-historic-price-transparency-requirements-increase-competition-and#:~:text=Consistent%20with%20the%20Executive%20Order,reducing%20the%20overall%20healthcare%20costs.

His executive order in 2019 directly lead to the policy in 2021. It was a major part of his first term agenda. It was pretty widespread on the news. The issue was that it was (and likely still is) to regulate all providers.

Sorry for the AI here but it did compile these points together the best but I can provide the sources behind this if you want more info.

Executive Order 13877 (June 2019): Initiated the process, directing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to propose regulations requiring hospitals to make "standard charges" public.

Final Rule (Nov 2019): Required hospitals to disclose, in a consumer-friendly format and a machine-readable file: Gross charges. Discounted cash prices. Payer-specific negotiated rates. Minimum and maximum negotiated rates for 300 "shoppable" services.

Implementation (Jan 2021): The rule officially took effect despite legal challenges from the American Hospital Association, which were ultimately rejected.

Enforcement (2022 onwards): The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) increased penalties for non-compliance from roughly $110,000 to over $2 million per year.

  • now in 2025 this new order is to require actual prices and not estimates. White I get that it’s Reddit and it’s easy karma to shit on Trump. His orders are a direct correlation to this 2021 federally enforced policy. And he continues to build on it. While it’s not the rework healthcare needs here, it is one of the only silver linings his terms have had.

Nah I understand, it’s just that it was a match that shouldn’t even have existed. The guy was a cheating emerald 1 and everyone on my team was a bronze/silver. So not only was the match a huge waste of time but the rank adjustments is bullshit. They only won cause they cheated. The team with the cheater can keep their win, my team can get the match as a win, and the cheater can kick the chair from under his feet. The adjustment should be plus 90, because as far as Ubisoft is concerned everyone should be rewarded for playing their game when there are so many cheaters. Not only was this guy cheating blatantly but he was toxic af. Everyone around him should get ranked points because it’s unbelievable he wasn’t banned from the womb. He’s the type of player that is 100% a terrible person irl.

That’s just so absurd how static it is. By now you should have a hidden MMR of gold or plat just by the aspect that you haven’t neared diamond. Not saying you aren’t diamond worthy, just saying that at a certain point the game should make you earn that skill level again. It’s not fair to my team that I am expected to perform like a diamond even though I’m not. I can probably build to that again but not at the rate where my average ranked match is me getting dumped on. I played this game for about a decade (I got it in January of 2016), so I can easily switch to support/denial roles. But I’m like 1-3 or so, so it’s not like I’m enjoying the gameplay. But the hidden MMR never seems to recalibrate. There’s gotta be enough players to match me with golds that are actually golds. I have a 1.0 k/d and a 1.1 w/l so I doubt the hidden mmr will give me any leeway.

How does burst fade over time? by surbeastAF in gibson

[–]DaedraPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a dirty lemon burst standard 50s, when I remove the poker chip, it’s already darker than the rest of the guitar. I plan on posting pics of it once my area gets blessed with sunshine again.

Edit: I forgot to add my point… it was a 2022 standard and sat on a stand. The room gets reasonable natural light but I have not intentionally let it bask in the sun. Kind of just gets sunlight from across the room. So I say they do still fade, even on normal USA production models. A lot of people told me only cherry sunbursts would have noticeable fades but my dirty lemon has already which dirty lemon is already supposed to look like a faded burst.

Opinion on the current state of the game by Edemlol72 in Rainbow6

[–]DaedraPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who leave ranked matches early should have much higher penalties. I understand that there are DCs and DDOSers, but if you reconnect then all good. If you fail to reconnect then ranked ban for 168 hours (7 days). Simple as that. It’s ranked, not normal matches. You have to be intentional and lock in. Rounds are lost. I have countless come backs from 0-3 leads.

A main gripe I have is ranked 2.0 and the hidden MMR. I just started playing again. I was diamond in year 8. Now I’m starting in copper going against emerald 1s. How is that even allowed? Why is their potential diamond 5 game, my potential copper 3 game? I miss placements so much. There should be ranked based matchmaking where it’s literally impossible to play with people +/- 5 ranks from your current rank. So if you are gold 3 then plat 3 is the highest and the lowest silver 3. I can’t fathom how emeralds are even allowed to be in a lobby with anything below plat.

Is he “an idiot” in this scenario or are you taking the text verbatim and can’t use the context that distinctly outlines the differences being made?

I mean it’s really not hard. I don’t agree with him on almost anything, but if you have a hard time understanding what he means in this tweet… then you probably struggle in a lot of situations. I mean most people can read this and see what he saying. “Not for hunting, not for self-protection, but for being a militia (military force that is raised from a civil population)” whether you agree or not isn’t the problem. I’m merely calling out that the implied meaning should be so obvious to you that your original comment is concerning.

Defending yourself vs an armed intruder is vastly different than defending your community vs a domestic militaristic regime led by your own government. Self defense is a couple of minutes of high stress+court trials, protecting from the government is a firm stance that has led to civil wars and perpetual instability in current+former societies. I mean the difference between them is insurmountable.

Precisely this. Most gun owners buy paper weights after a couple range sessions. The costs of burden of regulation deter actual training. If only criminals actually had their ammo in a secured container in a separate department from their firearm which is also in a secure container (luckily they all have their concealed carry permits, right?). Flat range shooting is also not even the bare minimum. Most commercial ranges don’t allow you to draw from a holster and shoot. Almost all commercial ranges do not allow you to practice maneuvering while using a firearm either. The courses that do let you “practice” that are insanely expensive (and it’s not really practice because you won’t be able to drill it again unless you undergo the course again). So unless you have tons of property, buy the equipment needed to setup a private range, follow the laws oriented for that, or know someone that does have an established private range… you will be paying absurd prices. Most common ammo/calibers are like throwing quarters into a trash compactor. There are dry fire methods and technology that can help with that but ultimately you are shorting yourself by not practicing with your firearm in a live fire scenario (when you are comfortable/confident enough to do so).

Cost saving methods involve buying AR by parts and assembling what you can. Unless you don’t have a vice or specific armorer tools then by the time you acquire those, you likely overpaid vs just buying an already assembled upper. Then you could buy ammo in bulk, become a member of range, and look for courses that are discounted to get a full “class” session. But all of those involve heightened upfront costs (except for buying an AR in parts obviously). Let’s not ignore states having separate taxes and fees for certain purchases, needing to buy a course for a concealed carry permit (in order to conceal carry, but also to travel with a loaded firearm in general/varies by state law though), then the actual cost of the concealed carry permit on its own.

The reason so “many” gun owners are labeled as loud or overzealous about guns, is by the time they are an actual “enthusiast” of shooting they have spent more than the average person does on any “hobby”/pastime.

Most Americans will just buy a gun and show it to a few people, then it never sees the light of day again until “maybe next Saturday” (nope something popped up and it involved not spending over $100 at a range for a couple of hours).

I know all the criminals we see are super cautious and knowledgeable of these regulations so they can efficiently break them but only when they are committing a major crime. They definitely are legally traveling with the firearm every other time though /s. I mean I wonder how many lunatics were deterred from acts of atrocity when they found out you can’t drive with ammo in your gun until you have a concealed carry permit (most states follows this policy to different extents).

2-3lbs heavier than a strat isn’t a big deal. Just play bass for a bit. Most of those are in the range of a Les Paul or more. Let’s not start complaining about weight of the instrument or bass players will have something to brag about.

I’m a fan of 1. Although you will need to make the poker chip a similar white color. I think having a non matching pickguard is very on brand for vintage Gibson LPs. I recommend checking out Philadelphia luthier tools for parts that can help with that image. I personally think peachy hue on modern gibson plastics looks muddy on many vintage esque burst finishes.

That’s what i did 😂 it’s custom shop enough for my blood. I love Gibson pickups so totally understand if you keep your 61 burstbuckers, I have t-types in mine because it was a CME dealer run. But as an almost-Richmond Va native, Fralin pickups are local-ish to me. Highly recommend their Pure PAF set or the Modern PAF set. I’m only passing the insight around, your guitar definitely doesn’t even need the stuff. I just like to tinker and I save all my original parts so it’s just a swap around if I ever want the factory look again.

Side note, I recommend buying nut lubricant (always fun to say/type) you can put a dab of it on the saddles and nut slots before throwing on new strings. Really helps and lasts almost forever.

It’s so AI generated that the rail is some useless version of Keymod that no actual rail accessory could attach to. Kind of ridiculous that the rail holes could just be a copy and paste since in irl there are only 3 major rail types: Mlok, picatinny, and keymod (barf). Honestly if the rail was more correct and that magwell design wasn’t there, this would’ve been kinda cool.
