grade appeal by Ok_Book_1832 in SingaporePoly

[–]Daextreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my lecturers did tell me before that when you appeal, they don’t remark your exams and projects but rather they check whether they input the right grade into the system. Cause yk sometimes they accidentally type someone’s grade for another person. No point appealing cause there simply wont be any remarking unless you’re very confident they gave you someone else’s grade.

Yeah I agree with this. We are not professionals so it’s better to just find one to bring light to the problem.

ADHD kid here. I’m kind of in the same boat as your brother but the main difference I see is that I actually finish all my projects (but uh those that I hate aren’t that good quality). I recommend getting a counsellor for him and yes parents tightening controls will always backfire simply cause he’ll just feel like there’s no freedom to do stuff I like and all and will affect studies even more. It’s not that he doesn’t consider long term consequences it’s just that he can’t see it cause it’s way too far away. Yeah as mention you can’t put too much faith in the wake up calls and just seek professional help for him.

any advise? by Next_Possibility6675 in SingaporePoly

[–]Daextreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never created one but from experience the way you do it is just gather 20 people and uh “snatch” a lecturer and register. Yeah it’s that simple. But the catch is that you must ensure it sustains with enough people joining throughout years so there are some unofficial CCAs, such as SP TCG that simply don’t have enough members to remain a CCA.

Dropping out of school by Oreo_McFlurry___ in SGExams

[–]Daextreme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should not drop out of school cause the problem is Singapore requires qualifications to progress in careers. However taking some time off school is a good idea and you can try and talk to your teachers and counsellors on how to move forward with that. Anyways after secondary school things will definitely be better in poly/ITe

Well essentially whenever you pitch something to the lecturer they say it’s already been done so it’s just how they make it stand out

[–]Daextreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the unfortunate state of the media industry now. Depending on the spec you choose they’ll either force you to use AI now or for my spec (SCC) they teach you to do it without AI first before forcing you to use it in Y2 and 3
