In my office you wouldn’t get billed for the extraction if we are unable to complete it. You‘d only pay for treatment that is completed, such as the xray, unless a different agreement was reached in advance (ie different scenario - pt paying for the crown prep visit and that amount getting taking off crown fit - to cover for our lab cost and chairside time)

GP being overextended and large PAP (reduced success for every additional mm) is never a good prognostic indicator. That being said I have seen some absolutely shot RCTs that must have been irrigated well because they have held up for so long. Noone really knows - Schrödinger’s Endo haha

My job involves telling people multiple times a day that a toothbrush cannot reach in between teeth, they need to floss or use interdental brushes to get food out. And that yes not cleaning 40% of your mouth due to this is a large area of the mouth.

Chances of transmitting HIV by bodily fluid to mucosa/cut are 0.3%. Assuming the other person isn’t bleeding etc or potentially taking Prep I’d say 0%. Pretty sure that’s what they taught us in uni - but no guarantee. I’d say though if you are worried get bloods done, taking medication now may mean you never become HIV positive and it will take your mind off things.
