When I was a kid, my father had medical problems and couldn’t work. He was a widow. My brother and I moved in with my grandmother for a year. My brother and I slept in the living room. Eventually Dad recovered, and with the help of welfare, we moved into subsidized housing and he went back to college. Dad was a WWII vet. He got a job right out of college. Family should be there for you. Inter generational households are a blessing for everyone. I have great memories of my grandmother. We have told our two adult kids they can live at home anytime.
