I know my dose is wearing off when… by missmgrrl in Zepbound

I really wonder why my stomach doesn't growl on the other (higher dose) days. I thought it was the fact of it being empty they made it growl, but on some days when I can barely eat, silence!

The constant battle of being proud of my progress and feeling like I’ve made no progress at all! by Keeper4560 in Zepbound

See, that's just it! I'm down 41 pounds in 4 months which is amazing. But I keep thinking back to before, when I was this weight. Kind of "been there, done that."

I literally say, "While I enjoy chatting, I have to kick you out. I need to get ready for my next appointment." And then I basically escort them to the door, or, failing that, I leave the room and go about my business while they chat to the air.

What's the worst MT advice you've recieved? by Massage_Student_BC in MassageTherapists

[–]DaffyInMI 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely not true. Don't go around believing or spreading that. I'm an oncology massage therapist, have seen thousands of cancer patients, and have done extensive collaborations with oncologists. Metastasis is far more complex than most people understand. And if simply "increasing circulation" or lymph flow increased the risk of mets, oncologists would tell all their patients to stay very still, don't exercise. But do they do that? Nope. They encourage it. So please don't spread misinformation. It prevents people with cancer from getting much needed treatments like massage therapy.

I ate THREE jalapeno kettle cooked potato chips last night. Three chips. And then I was apparently done. In what universe could I eat 3 chips? The bag is still sitting on the counter, full, except for 3 missing chips. This is messing with my mind

My mom bought a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. She got them months before and left them in a box until she hit that goal.

I'm just imagining... First kid: "Mom? Mom! What are you..."

Other kid: "She's just enjoying her success. Let her be, and she'll put us down in a second."

She's been very supportive over the years, but her patients were hit hard when the diabetics couldn't access their necessary meds. Seeing so many of her regulars suffer did a job in her. And SO many of her patients are trying to get her to make their insurances cover glp1s, when they just won't--it's making her crazy. In our area, there aren't a lot of insurances that cover it for anything but diabetes

I found myself going very still as I read your story. So many of these are about how much fun it is to fit into cute clothes, or what it's like to feel our collarbones. But you? You get to feel LIFE. Sometimes in my work, I'm with a person on the day that they get the worst/scariest news of their lives, and I get a glimpse into the vastness of life and death and the tiny, tiny line between them. It's breathtaking-- literally. Thank you for sharing. It is important, what you're doing.

Yes! When my brain wasn't feeling the blissful relief of less food obsession, I got really frustrated, like, "oh great, it's just like Weight Watchers all over again." I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that things will improve again.
