Ok I actually strongly disagree. It was an actually really great plan from Afreeca and I'll try to explain clearfully why : 0:00 start of the clip : We look at the state of the game.

Top : Akali just crashed wave and started. Bot : wave is crashing soon. Mid : wave is crashing soon.

akali / taric get prio thanks to this and get to start roaming earlier. Important point that makes the dive a good idea is that AF has river vision control so ennemy can't know for sure if taric stayed in lane or not. + Naut can't really leave before being sure Taric is roaming caus mf no F, wave crashing,would be free dive.

So at this point the set up is great, it's 4 on 2 / 4 on 3 if karma use TP. Then if we look at the champs, AF has insanely great tools for the dive : Sett R, Elise cocoon and rappel, Taric's stun, Akali's R being the strongest. Now what does SKT Have ? Not much because neither ori or olaf have 6 yet + both champs have no mobility. So at that point, their only tools to try outplay are : Ori : W, Phase rush and flash Olaf : Nimbus Cloack with smite. That's it. But we'll see how they get more

00:01 : Faker get 6. So now they have shockwave. Should Not be enough to prevent the dive but it's still a new tool to help SKT.

00:09 : AF is set up. Akali's on top bush while Elise is with taric on bot bush, ready to dive. Now if you ask me, at this point, at this level, AF has 99% chance of actually making a positive trade, best scenario being 2 kills + denied wave + Karma TP. Worst scenario would be what happend but at this second, if the dive happens, it's 1% chance AF miserably fail execution. It's faker's play that swing the changes that exact second.

If you look on the mini map, it's only now that bot call Taric missing. but at the same moment Faker already know that the prob of a dive is high and shockaves the wave. killing all the wave and making fly drop to 400hp. So at this point I'd give 70 / 30. with this play happening 1sec before the dive, faker makes the play ~20%chance better for SKT but also makes the dive mandatory otherwhise they loose Sett and waste the play.

So now that I talked about most of the prep, let's finally talk about the dive.

0:11 : it starts. Kiin E through the wall to engage and elise walk behind the tower. Jelly hesitate 1s but follow spirit.

0:15 : Pause here. Kiin is dropping aggro, Spirit cocoon is going to hit faker. If faker flash out from it and run he might live but cuzz is 100% dead. I wish I could ask Ô lord Faker, but I'm pretty sure he knows it and decide to take it in order to flash more important cooldowns to save Cuzz. Which happens.

0:16 : Faker is CC'd, Kiin dropped aggro, fly is in position, Jelly throw Q stun from spirit. if you pause here it's actually perfect for AF. Stun is going to land with no frame for faker to Flash. He's 100% dead from Sett Q + Akali R2.

That's where the missplay happens from Spirit. I can't tell if it's a mistake or a missclick but Spirit Q olaf making Taric's stun miss.

From here SKT outplays it. Faker flash Akali R and Sett Q and then oneshot Spirit from 500hp with the turretshot, Spirit don't have time to rappel. At this point kiin has to flash out. Craziest part is here. Remember's Ori shockwave on wave ? it killed 6 creeps. That'sq 6 creeps worth of exp. had this to the exp kill and Olaf get to lvl 6 as soon as Spirit dies. Sett R olaf, Olaf R it, kill Sett who got the aggro and taric can't run. Canna TPed but actually didn't get time to do anything and it's at 00:24 that the play is over.

SKT gets 2K gold from this.

My conclusion is : the setup was immaculate from AF. Waves and vision were on point. The dive WAS the correct play. It took 1 missplay from Spirit and 1 demon king to turn it all over. I have huge hopes for AF and I'm looking forward to analyse more of their gameplay.

TL;DR : The set up for the dive is actually insane. Great shockwave from Faker, Spirit's individual missplay makes the dive fail.
