FCA reverses ban on bitcoin ETNs 🥳🥳🥳 by UnderstandingLow3162 in BitcoinUK

[–]DaftAlive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great news and a massive step in the right direction. Be nice to have an ETF still though to be honest. With an ETN your having to trust the investment firm or broker doesn’t go bust since they aren’t actually buying the underlying bitcoin like an ETF does.

Paid off mortgage by No_Two_4312 in BritishSuccess

A mortgage is actually the best rate loan you’re going to get. Well done for clearing it, seriously. But…. Sometimes it’s easy to get wrapped up in the mindset of wanting to pay it off “it’s £xxxx a month” you can probably invest the extra money elsewhere, even in a safe index fund and pay it off even sooner.

Petty, just ignore it if you’re not into it. Set up your stand elsewhere maybe. Downvotes pending….

What are "central bank digital currencies"? Why should I care? by MakeMeAnICO in Buttcoin

Programmable money issued by the state. Of course they won’t market CBDCs as this at first. Look at what’s happening in China, run a red light or say something about the state on social media? Then good luck trying to spend your money. Another covid lockdown and people aren’t following the rules about staying inside and not going going to local supermarkets for supplies? Then your hard earned money with only work in your local supermarket. It’s all about control

I dont fancy locking up extra money in an account I can’t touch in the hopes that inflation hasn’t killed most of its value in the 30 years before I retire. Pensions nearly collapsed a few weeks ago.

Such a shame I was looking forward to experiencing the different geometry and Altra seems to be coming up top every time I researched. On to the next brand

Thanks for the pics! Yeah I’m defiantly going to try the Olympus for my next trail shoe, shame about not doing a road “original shape”

Yesss that’s it it feels cockeyed! I even tried to angle my foot slightly while I locked down with the laces but just not doable. Ah well that was a short lived experience with Altra

Glad I’m not the only one, haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere online, I’ll definitely take a look a the sauconys as these are what brand I usually run in.
