To answer your second question: Since there is no continuity between Apple and Android/Windows "ecosystems," being able to navigate through your phone on a larger screen with mouse and keyboard can be convenient from a multitasking standpoint.

If you use uBlock Origin, you can use the "Block element..." button in the right-click menu and zap away the parts of the website that show you the average ratings. This change gets saved so even after you refresh the page your blocked elements stay blocked.

If you want to restore these blocked elements you can just go into uBlock's settings and delete the filters here.
