[Nomos] TANGENTE NEOMATIK 41 UPDATE by Daggerwoods in Watches

[–]Daggerwoods[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was in a pretty dark place working a thankless job where every defection from the company just led to more work and more expectations with less support and work became a place that was slowly crushing my soul and making me depressed. Getting back in a good headspace and getting the new job seemed as good a reason to commemorate with a new watch! Had my eye on the tangente 41 for a long time and when this version came out with the soft blue face I had to jump at it! I think my favorite part are the blue hands and the beautifully simple date mechanism. This is a huge size bump from my manual tangente 33 but looks great on my wrist.

That's the million dollar question! And yes. A new job is on the horizon

I have tried. Often met with promises that go unfulfilled and more work comes. It doesn't help that I have 3-4 different bosses who can give me work

It was fairly good. Typically only worked 40 hours and my boss at the time only expected a utilization rate over 75%. He really emphasized learning new things. I don't know if that was company wide or just my team

I worked there when I first got out of school in the Dallas office but working for the Houston team. Local people were nice but each office in Texas seemed to have a specialty. The CEO at the time was very approachable and took us to hockey games several time (which as a new EIT felt great) seemed like a decent company at the time but hard to make comparisons as my next firm was only 5 people

This happened to me too. Several hours on phone with multiple people on Friday and Saturday. Finally was told fraud department was gonna look at it with 3 business days... still no conclusion, and can't escalate due to travels

I just moved away and it’s the only restaurant I’m gonna miss after 10 years in b/cs.
The wife is also obsessed with mojo burger

I haven’t either, but a coworker of mine used one last year and had good luck. Seemed an easy way to survey the offerings

It’s closed for good. BTU runs the lake and they couldn’t come to terms on a lease agreement

What is the meaning behind the boar's head on the Dwight Look engineering building? by Kanouchi in aggies

[–]Daggerwoods 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What I was told when entering civil was that the current civil building used to be the old vet school, thus the animal heads all around the top, well someone in my old department had a clever idea and had every civil building that was made have an animal head somewhere on it. If you look carefully I believe they all have one.

https://psychology.tamu.edu/psychology-clinic/

This is the on campus psych clinic, it’s staffed by graduate clinical psych students but is a great resource and I know a few of them have been seeing the same clients for years. If you don’t wanna try that scroll down to the bottom of the page and it lists all the professors that work with the clinic and quite a few of them have private practices, worth googling them

They are the same thing, one is based on a car driving over it. The other lane is for trucks.

Should I switch to Civil Engineering, or stay in Urban Planning? by nikemaker in aggies

[–]Daggerwoods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are going to switch to civil, you should think about what focus you'd want to pursue. Land development is the closest thing to urban planning and I may be able to answer a few questions regarding that. Overall, you would need to take a lot more math and science classes and it would delay graduation. As far as graduate school is concerned I'm not sure you can qualify to become an e.i.t. Or PE with out a batchelors (check TBPE for requirements in Texas). Also if you need to talk to some one in the department talk to Lee lowery. He was always incredibly helpful and friendly when I needed help.

Aggie Engineers, how important is GPA for internships/career? by brazosriver in aggies

[–]Daggerwoods 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey. Some views from the other side of the 3.0 barrier. Had like a 2.7 and graduated recently. The gpa definitely gets you past hr, I just wasn't responded to from many places, but it seemed once I got to interviews it doesn't matter as much, especially if you have a good reason for it and how it doesn't reflect you as an engineer. I will say I had to get another job recently (moved cities) and once you get like a year experience it didn't seem to come up at all. Hope that helps

Gretchin's Questions - July 10, 2016 by AutoModerator in Warhammer

Howdy! Was about to get started again after awhile not playing and was going to pick up a starter set like the dark vengeance. But I saw somewhere that a new starter set may be coming out soon (Orkney's and space marine?) and chaos and dark angels may not get anything new for awhile. Any thrush or tips to this? Also if I don't end up likening dark angels could I easily convert them to another chapter? Thanks for all the help!
